Egaming Entrepreneur to Address Exit and Acquisition at Upcoming London Conference
November 19, 2009 (CAP PR Wire) — Sportingbet founder and egaming entrepreneur Mark Blandford is among the online gaming stars appearing at EGR Live, a new event for the online gaming industry taking place in London this month.
Blandford will relay his experience of buying and selling businesses, appearing on a panel of industry experts discussing exit and acquisition strategies for the serious gambling affiliate as part of an affiliate-focussed session branded ‘Power Affiliates’.
Power Affiliates is a special session within the free-to-attend event that is aimed at full-time, serious gambling affiliates, and consists of a series of tailored panel discussions exploring the hottest topics.
These include exits and acquisitions; getting the most from your affiliate/programme relationship; future revenue models and the blurring of the distinction between operator and affiliate.
Blandford said: “It is extremely important for anyone who is looking to exit their business at some stage to have a plan and to be aware of what their business will need to look like to maximise value, I look forward to sharing some of my experiences with EGR Live’s affiliate stream.”
Also speaking at the Power Affiliates session are egaming names including Pokerlistings chief executive Björn Evers, chief executive of The Gambling Portals Graeme Levin, CEO of PokerStrategy.com Dominik Kofert and Ian Sims from Net Trekker Ltd.
Sportingbet European affiliate manager James Arnold said: “‘We were delighted when we heard that EGR Live was adding a specific affiliate-focused channel to the event, and it was a simple decision to get involved as we know the level of organisation and professionalism that comes with all EGR events.”
EGR Live is a brand new confex from the industry’s leading business magazine, eGaming Review, aimed at bringing the online gaming industry together. It combines meetings, conference sessions, seminars, workshops, products and service displays and hospitality and features a special online EGR meeting system will allow visitors to plan their day.
It is free to attend and will take place from 30 November-1 December 2009 at the historical London venue of Old Billingsgate, situated by the Thames in the heart of the City.
eGaming Review publishing director Seb Timpson said: “With over 70 key speakers secured and over 1,200 delegates registered to attend we are delighted that the industry is embracing this new concept. We believe very strongly in the all-inclusive/free-to-attend model and feel that that the combination of EGR Live and the industry awards makes for a must-attend entry in the egaming diary.”
