    sorry to be the messenger on this.

    Myself and another webmaster were going to split a big ad buy at gamesville; *owned by lycos; so we contacted them about it.

    they replied that as of Jan1, they will no longer be taking ads for casinos.

    I hope and pray this is not the start of a trend.

    I pointed this out MONTHS ago when the DOJ started sending letters to major media outlets warning them that accepting advertising for Online Gambling was illegal IN THEIR OPPINION and subject to possible future prosecution.

    We have seen the effects at Clear Channel and COX Communications when they removed sports books and online casinos from their radio broadcasting channels. I predict we will see that attitude spread to other media sellers as well.
    Their legal departments will most likely advise it and I cant see the CEO or CFO of a publically traded company putting his job on the line to test the Justice Department’s resolve or the legality of this type of business.

    The only thing we can do is buy what we can, while we can. We came this far, so most of us are in it till the end.
