Slotland Joins Big Winners this Month
Player takes home almost $169,000 on progressive slotAugust 19, 2008 (InfoPowa News) — Slotland online casino player “MrsSmiths” is the latest big winner at Slotland, taking down a $168,947 jackpot playing the Booster slot machine this week.
The progressive can be played on any of Slotland.com’s online slot machines and video poker games, with most of the games also available on mobile phones and PDAs tied into the same progressive jackpot.
Booster is a three-reel, single-payline slot machine game with a special wild “boost” symbol. When the wild is about to appear, the game is interrupted and players are given the option of keeping their current bet or boosting it tenfold. In addition, every bet that does not win is added to a special fund, which can be cashed anytime for ten percent of its value, or players can choose to try to recover their total bets on a special win/lose spin.
Whilst considerable, MrsSmiths’ big win is not the highest recorded at the casino — in March 2008, a Canadian player won the biggest Slotland progressive jackpot ever, $195,083 on the slot Treasure Box. The last player to win a large jackpot playing on a cellphone was OLYMPIAGOLD, who was paid $163,000 after a successful game on the mobile version of Lucky Stars.
Re-set at $50,000 after each win, Slotland.com’s progressive jackpot is already back up to nearly $100,000.
Just a quick note — this jackpot was actually hit a little over a month ago, on July 17.
