    Hello,

I’m seeking advice regarding site navigation. Specifically if you visit my site:
    http://www.bingofunorama.com/

And click on “Bingo Forums” in the main menu. As you can see I’m using a wrapper link with Mambo. Does that make it look too crowded and “squished” in? Is it better for me to have the link open a new window for the forums so it stands alone?
    i.e. http://www.bingofunorama.com/forums/

    Thanks!

At Poker Freeroll Tour I use Joomla and link to forum without a wrapper. Thats what I would recommend. Mambo and Joomla have forums that you can incorporate in. Mambo, the best I saw was LoadMouth.

Personally, I would link without wrapper but that is more a preference than actual reasoning.

Truthfully it looks a little squeezed, IMHO :)

SMF and mambo work really well together, there is a bridge that is “fairly” easy to set up. Have you been to simplemachines.org? They have a forum dedicated to intergrating these two together. You can find the forum here:

Thanks poker30 I was not aware of the mambo-smf bridge! I’ll be doing some reading on that tonight! For now I’ve unwrapped so the forum opens on it’s own page. I just installed the letterman module for managing my newsletter and mailing list and I’m impressed so far with that.
