I’m taking the Heathrow Express:
January 13, 2009 at 1:34 am #792435AnonymousInactiveactually compared to canada i found it (at least virgin train to/from wales) had only 3 seats across (2+1, rather than 2+2), each set of facing seats had a table and power outlet. In Canada it’s the same seats, no tables. So it was worth the upgrade to wales, while not worth the upgrade to Toronto.
Have fun all, i won’t be joining the party this year, but i’ll be thinking of you.
January 13, 2009 at 1:40 am #792436AnonymousInactiveThe27th if you want to share give me a pm bump the tube! Simmo my 1st yr to London I took your advice and it didn’t end too well for me…lol Hear I am with a huge suitcase, purse and laptop bag running around that damn tube and no one mention that if your not fast enough the damn doors will close on you and the train takes off! Everyone sat there cracking up at my dumb ass running to catch up while my suitcase was closed in the door! Damn that was CRAZY and never ever again! Oh yeah and carrying all that stuff up flights of stairs is no fun either.
Actually it was the uh-oh. It just came out wrong
:whoa:

LOL. Sorry about that Bonusstreak. In that case, my advice this time would be to leave the kitchen sink at home
January 13, 2009 at 12:54 pm #792464AnonymousInactiveI can’t take the kitchen sink?
Darnit, that’s my favorite thing to take with me!
If you have a bunch of luggage, don’t take the tube. Even if you manage to get it all in there, you have to lug it up the stairs – that maybe two trips so you have to leave some unattended.
Not a good idea.
Or perhaps we can have Simmo meet us and lug the luggage for us…:3eyes:

Haha. Clever. “Lug” is part of “Luggage” So is “gag”, along with the main reason I can’t do that – “age”. So my response is also cryptic and part of “swivelchair”

January 14, 2009 at 12:49 am #792510AnonymousInactiveArriving 2:45pm on the 29th in Heathrow if anyone wants to share a cab – PM me.
January 15, 2009 at 5:45 pm #792685AnonymousInactiveI always take the Tube from Heathrow. Easiest (yes, I’m a guy and have learned to travel pretty light!) fastest and cheapest, not to mention often highly entertaining! Only time I’ve ever almost missed a flight from LHR was last time when my boss insisted I treat myself to a cab. There’d been some hazardous waste spill on the main motorway that afternoon so London traffic was even worse than usual — and the trains were not affected! lol
Which reminds me… pack my Oyster Card for next week’s trip!
January 15, 2009 at 5:49 pm #792687AnonymousInactiveYikes — change your flight and arrive the day before so you can come to Fire&Ice on the 28th!
