Probably a dumb question, but alas, still a newbie.. I noticed that Greek stated that there was no need for a copywrite symbol.. as whats on your domain..etc..
But copyright symbol or no.. How do you guys prove, whats yours is yours.. so you say you wrote it.. The theif says he wrote it.. Maybe you even added the (I can’t even make a copyright symbol LOL) C2006 .. so he puts C2004 on his site..

You can also check the Who-Is data to see which site is oldest.
That assumes a sites content always remains static, which is not the case for any worth while site.
