December 1, 2005 at 7:52 pm #677692AnonymousGuestVERY uncomfortable on anyone they perceived to be a big enough threat
well that’s the thing, they can’t kill all of us.
I doubt any one of us is or would be considered big enough to be any kind of threat to the juggernauts of whom we discuss. I certainly know I’m not. So if we were to take an aggressive stance it would be very hard for the juggernauts to do anything about it.
For instance, I have about 15 sites; most if not all are cloaked from the who is; and yes, I’m sure if you did enough homework you could find out which ones they were, you probably could; but to be absolutely certain who they were owned by, or even reasonably certain; would take some leg work. So I could easily put up warnings on all my sites but the ones I have listed to myself here; and it would take some homework to figure out what I was up to, or rather who was behind the sites with the warnings.
multiple that by the thousands of webmasters in this niche and its just not plausible. I guess they could start knocking us off one at a time in hopes the rest would get scared and stop; but that’s the best shot they’d have.
There is no one person, or even group of people who can be threatened into making a move that effects all of the OG niche.
However I appreciate what you’re saying and no I don’t care to be the one to step up into the line of fire, and no one person should have to; which is my point.
If we all put up warnings; who would or could you go after to make it stop?
Oh well, I don’t get any traffic free anyway, so I shouldn’t even care about all this but its hard to sit still and see injustice and not say anything, when you know the bad guys could be put in their place with just a little cooperation amongst the community.
December 9, 2005 at 3:22 am #678172AnonymousInactiveI haven’t had the time to reply to the above post. I been busy, relearning a few things along with my colleques.
I can’t seem to let go of the idea some idiot can walk right into your website that you designed and spent countless hours on, and cloaked, copied or whatever.
I agree its’ almost impossible to stop everyone, there will always be some lazy ass who will take the short cut and copy sites.
I have succeeded in scaring the living hell out of a few of them. Seeing nothing leaves this forum I will tell what I did. I sent two blackers free antivirus software addressed from their server provider. I provide the license key a very good 200.00 program. The dumb asses fell for it. I imagine they scanned it first which is fine nothing will show until they enter the license key. What happens they install the program enter the license key and whammo their system shuts off. So the reboot and it shut off again and again until they figure it out. Now I could have taken it a step futher. when they are rebooting for a few seconds the firewall or any other anti hacking stuff is disabled giving a one way ticket in.
I did not feel good about doing this, but i made request after request and they did nothing. basically they told me to f-off.
This is the first step, I am working on the second step. I haven’t been posting much because again, I am in the fourteen hour days trying to find solutions.
My site has been kicked around so much by people I am considering many things. So I am i doing the right thing here? My colleques say yes? But to a certain extent my knowledge was never intended for such acts. greek39

Personally, if they copy your content or anyone elses content without permission… Then I say you are within rights.
I mean they are doing stuff they shouldn’t so why shouldn’t you use your knowledge to stop what they won’t stop themselves.
I say…. good job
December 9, 2005 at 4:40 am #678179AnonymousInactiveKwblue,
Thanks for the support I am sure I will here what I did was wrong. I did stop when thier ports were open I could have step in and wiped out there files. Tracing it back to me is impossible. But I better not say too much more on the subject.
I think CAP should either ban people or warn them the practice of screwing people over will be dealt with. I am realizing now people are joinning this forum everyday I wonder why? Some I imagine have good intentions. I think CAP could be the first to step up and say we have had enough!!! Hire someone to make CAP more progressive with honest webmasters and affiliates.
I have discovered so many dirty things over the last three weeks. The good old days of making a living from gambling sites are numbered if something isn’t done soon. We can fight back!! greek39
P.S For those who support Brightshare I suggest dropping them. I know some will disagree but money can turn people into immoral characters this is what Lloyd has become. I’m dropping them tomorrow. The casinos are great the affiliate program is corrupt.

Now is pointing to something else.
January 26, 2006 at 4:06 am #681929AnonymousInactiveI appreciate the information, but whats up with theses two sites, both scrapers?
I am working at a fever pitch too put the 888.com scandal to rest. Several of people are waiting for my article. The more info I get the better. They way things are looking I am 70% sure 888.com is involved.
I do have some proof but not enough, yet. I traced a 10 IP’s all connected in one way or another straight to 888.com.
I have many doorway pages recorded and one confession. London Times has express its interest. I have spoke with Shelly in this regard. To a certain extent after presenting what I had to say she basically agreed it could be a internal problem. Shelly also expressed a concern maybe a conference call appropriate. My collegues and I can voice our concerns and present our proof.
There is so much more. Some of you already know the facts, but lack the proof. Well I am slowly getting it.
If it turns out to be true, consider their stock price to shoot way down or maybe banned from the London stock exchange. Not to mention complete ban on the net, lawsuits and everyhting else that goes along with it.
This is the real deal. greek39
