    Just to try and help out, I went ahead and submitted all of the last batch of URLs to Google. You guys are doing a bang up job. Rock on.

    The accolades are great, but the bottom line is stopping this cheat. It will be tough to do so, without the cooperation of Google, and my bet is that this Moscow-based scoundrel is in bed with someone at Google. Let’s look at the facts:

    1) Google has the capability of deleting anything they want from their
    indices; yet, it takes time to do so, and always seems to run behind
    the inclusion of new spam sites;

    2) Google has a massive team to come up with strategies to prevent this
    kind of spamdexing; yet, it still continues to proliferate;

    3) To me, it seems obvious that there is someone “in-house” in Google who
    is selling algorithms for a large fee, I’m sure to these criminals;

    Again, without co-operation of Google (and other Search Engines), all this work on CAP does is provide temporary bandaides.

    Well, if what you say is true, then that is a sad, sad thing. If it is true, then there is nothing anyone can do. No one can prove it, unless you were an insider yourself and you had the ability to spy on others.

    Personally, I don’t think Google is in on it. I think they have bigger fish to fry. But a friend of a friend, or an ex-employee, they might have some info on the Algos, but I doubt it. I’ll bet they keep those pretty close to the hip.

    Google is a huge company, and they probably have a zillion requests a week to deal with stuff. They move slowly. The cheats found a loophole, and Google hasn’t been able to close it yet. Who knows how long it will take? I think they will eventually fix the problem. Unfortunately, in the mean time, the hacks are winning. But if we stop fighting back, then they really win.

    Creative,

    This is speculation on my part (certainly not fact), but everyone has a price, and insider info happens all the time. I used to work for a $ 5Billion+ corporation, and be on the inside, and it was amazing the things I saw and knew…..and I wasn’t the CEO.

    This Moscow-based ring is powerful and has many assets at its disposal, as is indicated in the link on them in a prior post. I really believe there have been compromises made inside Google, to lend itself to these cheats. Payoffs are certainly within the realm of possibility, and probably very likely. Like I said, everyone has a price, and one person’s leak, could break the whole secretive algorithm.

    Yeah, I hear ya. Nothing much surprises me anymore in this world. Being the big business that this sector is, everyone wants their hand in the cookie jar, so to speak. I guess we can hope, and we can attempt to move forward.

    I will say that I had noticed some scraping going on with some of my content on another site where I sell some things. (not gaming related) I reported a bunch of scraped URLs and it appears that most of them are gone. But that sector isn’t even in the same ballpark as online gaming is. Anything is possible. A close friend of mine used to tell me – if it is possible, then at some point it will happen, or it is likely already happening.

    I used to dig Google and think that they were different, etc. They used to be, but now they’ve become what they were trying not to be. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. I wonder if some new engines will come to compete with Google? They need some fresh competition. It certainly sucks to be at their mercy. I was reading an article about Google in the latest Fortune magazine. They can pretty much make or break any small business. Whenever they release a new piece of experimental software, they cut out a lot of little guys. The song remains the same…

    Creative,

    The new kid on the block is ASK.COM. Although they have a long way to go to be as large as Google, they have tremendous financial backing and are currently blitzing the media with self-promotion. It’s a pretty cool S.E. – check it out.

    Still, it’s not yet mainstream…………

    Isn’t that Askjeeves? I thought they have been around for quite a while. I’ll check it out. I have noticed a few of their commercials lately. Did they lose the jeeves and just become ask?

    Well, the bad news is that there is a re-emergence of some new domains, and some new pages in old domains. The good news (maybe), is that a lot of the old pages are gone. Does that mean that Google is doing some clean-up, or is Morohin just continuously cycling out old pages in favor of new ones, in some automated fashion ? I have no clue, and am betting on the latter at this point. In any event, I have reported all of these to Google, and ask all of you to do the same. This guy is the MAIN gambling spammer these days. Anyone want to head over to Moscow to take care of him ????

    I’ll submit them. But I’ll admit, I’m a little stumped as to how this guy is getting the high rankings. I understand that he’s switching content after a page already is ranked, but how is he getting the pages so highly ranked to begin with? And wouldn’t Google rank them lower for new keyword content if the page had all new content? I guess how isn’t important, so on with submitting them to Google.

    I submitted them, hope it helps.

    Thanks for all your hard work guys!

    I mentioned this before, but he is running an automated blog/comment/form spammer. I log spam from him daily on one of my sites.

    He has an automated program that seeks out forms with input boxes. He then checks them out manually and spams them with his addresses many times a day.

    His main industry, though, is NOT gambling – It’s pharma.

    That is what I see from his ‘posts’.
