    For Immediate Release

RealTime Gaming announces their newest software version 2.7 with the much anticipated, multi-player poker game platform.

Atlanta, GA – November 2002 – Online casino software developer RealTime Gaming announced today the rollout of the latest version of their popular online casino software platform – complete with a brand new multi-player poker suite. Version 2.7 is RealTime’s 13th release in the last two years – outpacing all other major casino software developers.

“We know that the key to this business is innovation, and we are always working to stay a step ahead of the competition,” says Michael Staw, President of RealTime Gaming. “In the software business you have to keep moving – always refining, adapting and introducing the next best thing – this time around, that ‘thing’ is multi-player poker.”

    Poker Push

Truly the “star” of the new release, the multi-player poker platform opens a whole new gaming avenue for licensees of RTG software. Capitalizing on the widespread popularity of poker-style games, RealTime’s suite integrates a slew of Poker games – 6 total – that draw from cultural influences from around the globe. Games range from western classics like Texas Hold ‘Em and Seven Card Stud, to the exotic Far Eastern influence of such games as Pan and Chinese Poker.

Games aside, operators are particularly excited with the new multi-player possibilities poker brings to the platform. To date, most games were based on traditional casino games, with a player-versus-the-house model. With multi-player poker, operators can connect players within a single casino or across a multi-casino network and enable head-to-head game play in a real-time environment.

“The popularity of poker is huge, but the key is getting players together – unlike other casino games, poker is very much a social game,” explains Fermin Barrios of Cyberbetting International. “With the new Multi-player platform from RealTime Gaming, our players can get together and play each other – they can have their own ‘poker night’ online, so to speak.”

While the player-to-player interaction is key, another advantage is the integration of poker into the already established casino platform, along with an established casino network of players. Multi-player action works off the same account information as the rest of the casino platform, so established players don’t have to change a thing. Players can just select multi-player poker as a game within their home casino without ever having to deal with new login names or accounts, or additional software platforms.

“The goal was to create software that integrated both types of games, casino style games and head-to-head multi-player games, in one package,” says Staw. “We think of it just like a real casino, you can get up from a blackjack table and sit down at a poker table. It’s a totally different game and a totally different experience, but you never have to leave the casino to change your game.”

    What else is new?

Multi-Player Poker isn’t the only new addition to the RealTime Platform, the 2.7 release also introduces two new slot games as well as offering multi-hand video poker to most of the video poker games. The slot additions – Super Diamond Mine Deluxe and High Rollers – bring the total number of RealTime slot games to 22, which makes their slots offering one of the deepest and most diverse in the business. The multi-hand poker feature is actually an add-on to most of the existing video poker games, adding another level of play to proven favorites. A player can now play from one to one hundred hands at a time on most of their favorite video poker games.

    What’s on the Horizon?

As usual, RealTime Gaming executives are protective when it comes to details of the next release, but if the past two years are any indicator, version 2.8 can’t be far behind and should have another big surprise. Though specifics are unknown, Staw is quick to point out the RealTime track record. “Innovation is one of the cornerstones of our business, so you can bet we’ll keep moving at the same pace. You never have to wait too long to see what’s next when it comes from us.”
