Yesterday, state lawmakers in California heard a proposal to regulate online poker in that state. Read about it here.
Although I firmly believe that nothing will happen here until after the mid-term elections at the very earliest, if anything is going to happen at all, it will and should start in the state of California, which is the US state that is deepest in budget crisis. If I were Schwarzenegger, I would be kissing the feet of those that want to promote online gambling in my state.
