It could very well happen and what a lovely badge to wear ALL BY YOURSELVES!
Over the past week Partnerlogic and Wager Junction have SEEN THE LIGHT and REVERSED their predatory terms and conditions. They decided it made sound business sense to work WITH their affiliates and honor their long standing agreements.
Vegas Partners has indicated they will be coming over to the right side next week and Fortune has privately said they are working out changes to their terms and conditions which will bring them BACK to the PRO AFFILIATE camp.
That will essentially leave YOU Referback as the ONLY major program with PREDATORY Terms and conditions in place! Is that something you want to be identified as? An Affiliate Predator?
Are you going to enjoy appearing in Las Vegas at the Casino AFFILIATE Convention as THE program that has no respect for their affiliate partners, the one that PIG HEADEDLY refuses to re-evaluate a few bad decisions that are having a terrible effect on your affiliate partners?
Do you imagine you are going to receive a warm reception?
Something to think about my silent friends….
August 12, 2005 at 7:28 pm #670713AnonymousInactiveNot only the last, but the first as well. Not exactly something I would want to live up to.
August 12, 2005 at 7:52 pm #670715AnonymousInactiveIt’s time to find a better solution. If the other programs can, you can too!
August 12, 2005 at 7:56 pm #670716AnonymousInactiveI can’t imagine being the poor sap that gets elected to attend CAC for Referback. After the fiasco of the last two weeks and the stunning silence, there won’t even be a reason to attend. Because even if there is a webmaster that somehow doesn’t know about this crap, there will be plenty there to educate them. Still plenty of better options.
August 12, 2005 at 8:22 pm #670719AnonymousInactiveCan you imagine being the gold Sponser at the CAC show when the affiliates all hate you? Talk about poor planning, Referback what where you think?
If they had guts they would make the person who mandated these changes work the booth so he/she can see what a horrible decision this was. It has to be a bean counter (no offense) because a marketer would know better.

August 12, 2005 at 10:27 pm #670728AnonymousInactivelooks like us affiliates work very well collectively – unlike the progs themselves who in the darkest recesses of the Montreal convention secretly got together to hatch a wicked plan, to rob and steal, but true to form they all became independant when their wicked plan was put into practice.
Now dear old referback are left holding the baby – an evil baby with 5 heads and red eyes.
Referback put the baby up for adoption and come to your senses and join the real world………..
August 12, 2005 at 10:45 pm #670731AnonymousGuestsigh… what a joke.
RB. you are the only ones i have not added to my warning list.
Now I ask everyone, what am I suppose to tell my surfers about these programs who yesterday I called cheats and breakers of contracts, and now today they expect me to be able to promote their product AFTER having labelled them that?
I cannot. simple.
the best I can do is to take down their names but not continue to promote them or else I look like a hypocrite.
I don’t want to find myself in that position with RB, but your time is running out quickly.
If you’re going to do the right thing, then do it now before the damage is undoable.
August 13, 2005 at 2:35 pm #670757AnonymousInactiveReferback,
It’s time to wake and smell the coffee. The time has come that affiliates have stucked together for the cause. You are advised to change back to the original t/cs now.As the Professor stated

August 13, 2005 at 8:20 pm #670762AnonymousInactivethe best I can do is to take down their names but not continue to promote them
Same for me: Within the next two weeks I´m going online with some new domains – but without RB links.
During this time I will see what happens. if nothing happens I´m going to delete all RB links at all of my existing domains.
What a shame – as I´m an affiliate since 2002
But on the opposite: Only together we´re strong and able to show that an affiliate program without affiliates is nothing…August 15, 2005 at 8:07 am #670825AnonymousInactiveI’ve already removed some of their casinos, and I’ll be removing the
rest of them over the next week or so.. if they don’t revert back to
the old terms & conditions. If their going to change the terms and
not even discuss the issues with webmasters, then I can’t find
any reason to continue promoting their properties.. when their are
so many others that will often go out of their way for affiliates.August 15, 2005 at 11:35 pm #670900AnonymousInactiveYes if they dont revert back to the old terms & conditions
We will also be talking down the referback sites.
Semes very hard lately anyway make money at referback – the new terms & conditions will make it even more imposiple make a living with referback sites. : :unhappy: :unhappy: :unhappy:dont be so greedy referback
August 16, 2005 at 12:25 am #670907vladcizsolMemberQuote:dont be so greedy referbackThats exactly whats going on here. Greed and stubborness and a total disregard for their affiliate partners. This silence is a great indicator of EXACTLY how much they value each and every one of us.
August 16, 2005 at 12:50 am #670911AnonymousInactiveAmen Professor!
August 16, 2005 at 9:49 am #670938AnonymousInactiveSo is Referback’s certified status at CAP going to revoked if they keep the changes they have made in place? Also will this apply to any other programs that remain in breach?
