>> the players we tagged originally will remain tagged to us if they return.
agree. just hope so
November 17, 2008 at 1:25 pm #787206AnonymousInactiveIt doesn’t matter if you call it ReferBack, BRE, or Carmen Media.
When they (ReferBack, BRE or Carmen Media) decided to close existing U.S. player
accounts, they evidentally didn’t care how it might affect their affiliates. So, why
close all of the existing account right now? The Kentucky situation doesn’t really
affect existing accounts outside of Kentucky, the UIGEA regulations don’t take
affect till mid-January.. so, what is the reasoning for the existing player pullout?I can understand no longer accepting new accounts even though I don’t agree with it,
and I was still willing to promote the casinos to other regions of the world.. but now,
they bail on existing U.S. players a week later.. that’s just too much for me to take.November 17, 2008 at 2:04 pm #787209AnonymousInactivei really hate the whole this isn’t a referback decision excuse. It’s a subsidiary of another company owned by the same people, seriously who gives a poo about the which of the multiple corporations they formed was responsible for launching the decision. The decision is made by the owners.
I’m lucky that this wont affect me as I probably earn $20 a month from them since I never pushed them hard. For some reason I could never make money there.

Well my point is there is little point taking it out on the guys at Referback as there is probably sod all they can do. It’s probably better to contact BRE directly IMO although I’m sure it won’t make any difference.
Taking it out on Referback is like the players taking it out on the affiliates that sent them there. We’re all just sales people at the end of the day and these are events way outside of our control
November 17, 2008 at 4:25 pm #787224AnonymousInactiveLife’s a bitch. Get over it!
November 17, 2008 at 5:05 pm #787231AnonymousInactiveIt travels – we get kicked, we kick Referback, Referback kicks BRE and so on.
If you don’t make noise, no one hears you.
Not that there is anything we can do about it at this point.
November 17, 2008 at 5:07 pm #787232LucretiaMemberoh yeah I can get over it sure …………do not need referback though for that.
maybe players are tagged…………who knows if they change links after a year…who cares these days…..i do not want sound all negative….but…..lifetime income is just hoax really: if you stop promoting you probably will not earn anymore….referback was one of my favorite programs and players kept playing… but now all of this happened, it is just a bad dream and feel sick everytime i logon and see all those accounts closed…my feeling tells me get rid of it because this S big time……
November 17, 2008 at 8:26 pm #787242AnonymousInactiveaaaaaaaaaahhhhhh
all accounts closed
not that many…… but it seems all my players where US…. ??? :Cry:November 17, 2008 at 8:36 pm #787247AnonymousInactiveOkay, so why hasn’t Belle Rock notified US players of this decision. I haven’t received any notice on this.
Also, what about players’ balances. Also remember, players’ loyalty points and those auction credits? Players spent money to earn that. What will happen there?
This is a half-axxed way to do things, imv.
November 17, 2008 at 8:51 pm #787250AnonymousInactiveI totally agree its not the affiliate managers fault or the employees fault and I would not blame them for it. Just saying the management is the same and is to blame.
November 17, 2008 at 11:44 pm #787273AnonymousInactiveI don’t blame ReferBack directly.. but they are suppose to be fighting for the sake of their
affiliates.. and with this move, it makes me wonder. It’s obvious that whoever made the
decision.. could care less about how it affects their affiliates. Their isn’t much that we
can do about it.. but, the one thing that we can do.. is reduce their online exposure.I’ll definately get over it.. and that will happen when I reduce or just remove their
casino properties.November 18, 2008 at 2:49 am #787307AnonymousInactiveI know it is not the fault of the great team at Referback and they are just doing what is told to them so guys can you please pass on the message to your bosses at Carmen that I think the choice they made really sucks and we shall see how well your doing in a few months and when the time comes don’t expect the US affiliates to jump on your help us recover bandwagon
November 18, 2008 at 7:15 am #787326AnonymousInactiveEvery single concern here is valid to one degree or another, however Simmo (and others) are spot on – the closure of the US accounts was not something we have any control over.
The fact that the closure of US based accounts was stepped means only one thing – it was more financially viable for them to be closed than to keep them open. Please consider that every closed account represents an account that can no longer be monetized by the casinos themselves either.
As much as being about politics the move from the US has been financial – with rising risk costs, escalating processing costs, then the addition of legal fees it was costing more to take US business than the group was making.
On the plus side our business has grown dramatically in the non US territories, so much so that we are able to look ahead towards a strong future outside of the US.
We have focused solely on getting our offering correct on Jackpot City with it offering play in English, French, Italian, German and Spanish – with this allowing us to attract players from Canada, Mexico, France, Germany and so around the globe.
Now that we have got it right on Jackpot City we are starting to roll it out to the other brands – the intention being to have a full suite of casinos which will continue to build on the success we’ve had with Jackpot City across the globe.
Jackpot City Bingo has also been picking up steam every month – UK residents love playing bingo and through the constant tweaking of promotions, chat mods getting into character and support staff who are 100% bingo centric Jackpot City Bingo is becoming a hot ticket item in the bingo arena.
So yes, the move from the US was a lot more sudden than even we had expected however we are convinced that moving forward we will continue to be an important income generator for affiliates through offering quality products for acquisition and by continuing to deliver our well known superb retention. With our clients focusing all their efforts, attentions and resources on the rest of the world we are certain to see player lifetime values grow dramatically.
The casinos, themselves, have been going since 1996 and they are determined to continue well into the future. Any decision to remain in the US would have been irresponsible to stakeholders, potentially jeopardizing the rest of the world business that has grown from incredible strength to strength in the last 2 years.
Referback has been in this business since 1999, all things considered we have been one the most stable and trustworthy groups around and our intention is to be around for as long as there is an income to be made from online gaming.
November 18, 2008 at 9:45 am #787340AnonymousInactiveBut I just can’t get past the fact that other MicroGaming casinos are allowing their
existing players to play. Why would they continue to allow U.S. players to play..
if it wasn’t somehow profitable for them? Maybe they are doing it so that the
players and affiliates have some time to figure out what they are going to do?November 18, 2008 at 3:26 pm #787396AnonymousInactive@Amateur 186985 wrote:

Shane,
You still have not addressed the question of why US players were not notified of this decision. Obviously, if a player has a balance and goes to log in, their account has been locked!
What arrangements have been made to handle these players?
