I finally heard back from Refeback this is what they had to say

With regards to your links that re-directed to a different site: I have “investigated” the affiliate involved and can assure you that taking traffic from you did him no good in any way. He hasn’t done much with ReferBack for the past year (at least). From past experience we also know that affiliates that “steal” traffic get nowhere as this is not a very successful method of marketing. Keep an eye on your links and let me know immediately if you see any re-directing again.

    Thanks,

    Cobus

I don’t know….it’s just the principal. This affiliate should be suspended regardless if he’s making money or not

I’m confused, how is the affiliate redirecting your traffic? Wouldnt he have to have some acces to your site to do that? Am I missing something here?

    That’s a very good question Lady H –
    I don’t know how these people do……………
I remember in 2001 I believe it was, I just got in the mail from Australia, the Electronic transfer receipt from Captain Cook and Illustrator Casino for a total of $6900 that was put into my bank account. I was in Paypal to see if some other casinos deposited my commission yet and I saw a withdrawal of $19,637.00 and the message said – “Thanks for the money”
I went nuts and called paypal immediately, and while I was on the phone with them, paypal somehow was able to tell me this same person was in my personal bank account withdrawing the $6900 that was just transferred. They were able to stop that from happening.
For some reason this person could not withdraw the large amount from paypal all at once. He had to do it in increments. He was able to successfully take over 3k out of my paypal account.

He had an address for the transaction that was only 30 miles away along with his phone number. So I called it and this guy had no idea what I was talking about. I called a DA friend of mine and had him check it out and this guy had no clue.

It turned out the perp was in Hong Kong –
This was 5 years ago so I can only imagine what this technology can achieve nowadays

Once had a referback aff account shut down without my knowledge because I was deemed rude.

I think the aff capturing other peoples traffic is rude.
