    OK FOLKS, HERE’S THE DEAL…

Time is short for me… we are approaching the deadline in Washington State. Most attorneys I’ve spoken with tell me that proving an “aiding and abetting” case against me will be as easy as:

    1) Do you run a gambling website?

    2) Do you live in Washington State?

    3) See ya in 5 to 10 years…

    EVERYTIME WE TURN AROUND…

…we hear affiliate programs telling us not to worry. Maybe at the Federal Level, there is nothing to fear just yet. But at the State Level, all webmasters in the US are about to get bent over and taken up da butt.

Washington State could become a battle ground… sooner than later… And if I go to jail and/or I get successfully prosecuted, then all you US webmasters better kiss your fat paychecks goodbye.

POOP OR GET OFF THE POT…

So, affiliate programs, here’s half of your income at stake. If I stay in this state I stand a high chance of being arrested and charged with a felony. If I leave, other states may soon follow Washington States lead… and you’ll watch your profits dry up 1% at a time as the other 49 states follow.

What are you going to do about it?

If each casino program here at CAP pledged just $5,000 to a defense fund in the event of a webmaster arrest, then we could fight this and set a good legal precedent. We’d easily have over $250,000 to hire a team of lawyers.

    THE TRUTH OF IT IS…

Here’s where I cut through the bulls##t. If affiliate programs can’t get on-board with fighting this right now, then I dare to say they’ve already made their decision to lose the US market. You are admitting that, when the time comes, you’re willing to walk away from it.

Contact me privately if you’re willing to pledge with this fight. Most of you know me, and know that I am an honest person… this is no scam. In the event an attorney(s) is needed, all will be above table.

I just need to know where I stand on this… I need to see if you guys (programs) are going to stand with me or turn a blind eye. It makes a difference to how I fight… it makes a difference to the rest of my life…

Yea I would have to agree 5k is a small price to pay if it keeps all of the USA affiliates out of jail.

Except of course they wont lose the US market for PLAYERS.

They might lose some US affiliates … but there are plenty of Costa Ricans, Canadians, Europeans, Central Americans and a couple more affiliates down under who will continue to market with impunity to parochial US laws.
    :lookaroun

I don’t believe that you can look around or expect to see a non-US corporate stick their head up to be taken aim at by US officials. Any lobbying is going to have to come from an affiliate group – or land based casinos looking to go online.

    (just my two cents worth).

    Hi J,

    You’ve got my support buddy.

I just went to bat for you here. Since we know you personally, I had some success.

RewardsAffiliates and CasinoRewards pledge USD $5000 for your fight.

I don’t want to have to smash off a whack of terms and conditions, but the short version: Just for YOU and only if YOU do need to fight a case (let’s hope that never happens). Please don’t go run off and get yourself arrested… but if you do … you’ve got $5k to help in the fight.

Can you explain how they can put you in jail if the law is not yet permanent.

Example: lets say ther is no law for selling copyed cd’s. so you’re selling cd’s but then comes a law that says you can’t sell copyed cd’s anymore. You stop selling the cd’s. Now how can they come after you if the law was not active at the time you were selling the copyed cd’s?

maybe this is dumb to say…sorry just wondering if this could hold any weight.

World Casino Directory pledges $1000USD to any future case against J.Todd or other Washington webmaster (in a co-ordinated fashion) if an arrest is made clearly on the grounds of running an affiliate portal site for casinos.

If I can invest $1000 in a failing Rasta-man Restaurant then I can invest $1000 on my future. Let’s see some established portal sites step up, too.

    Gday J!

Just wanted to clarify here, is it $5000 to get you arrested or is it $5000 to get you out of jail? hehehe :D

    Sorry couldn’t resist ……

Either way, Casino Profit Share is happy to help. Consider the $5000 there if YOU ever need it for this reason.

    Cheers!

    It’s a fund right?

YOU as in – to J if needed for a fund.

    Sorry for not clarifying! :)

Now this is what this community is all about. I am just a small guy, but I’m in for a couple hundred for anyone in Washington that gets arrested. Regardless with how many programs step up to the plate here, I am pretty sure many affiliates would contribute what they could as we feel like you are a voice for all of us. So you are not in this alone. If we could have a president in this business, you would have my vote hands down along with just about everyone elses here. Thanks for being you.

    J Todd

I just wrote an article on this subject.

In my research I found that Professor I. Nelson Rose, Professor of Law, Whittier Law School Costa Mesa, Ca, is one of the world’s leading authorities on gambling law. His website is http://www.gamblingandthelaw.com/ and his email is [email protected]

You might want to contact him. I have emailed him several times in my research for the article and he was very helpful.

Oregon, 5 minutes away.. liberal state .. hehe.. got any family over here? You could register as an Oregon Resident.. our folks pretend to live over there to avoid income tax alla the time lol

Seriously though, I really do like this idea, and applaud all of those properties and programs that pledged for any Washingtonian, if we allow this to happen in one state, it will spread, the US is not the only country that has had talk of outlawing internet gambling.. It’s really a matter of privacy to me.. we also have a constitutional right to pursue happiness in the US.. We are a free country, however that freedom seems to be taken away whenever the governemnt decides that we are its children, and in their opinion, we are not looking out for our own best interests.. For instance, seat belt laws.. helmets, curfew for our children (isnt that my job?) and all of the other laws out there that are none of the governments business and effect us only as individuals.

The part that angers me the most however, is they can tell us that it is because it is addictive, or all of the other good for us things they can say.. the truth as I see it, is that they just plain dont want the competition. Here in my state (Oregon) It isnt legal to own a gambling machine, slots are only legal at the Indian casino.. except for the 3-4 machines found in EVERY bar… those look like slots.. they have reels like slots.. you put money in them like slots.. you hope to win money back.. just like slots.. oops.. my bad.. thats the state lottory..

    (just my two cents worth).

I disagree Gooner.. It will be illegal next month to gamble online in the state of Washington.. First the law abiding citizens will be lost… as there are ppl out there that love gambling, but just wont, for fear of a felony..

As this spreads through the states, thats quite a few ppl.. and then .. we go back to professors thread back in March..

Guys when i got up this morning I found I was unable to access any gambling sites or content on my PC!!! I could access MSN, Yahoo, Google, my bank virtually anything else I wanted, but I cant access ANYTHING with “casino” or “Gambling” in the urls including CAP!!!! http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/huge-problem-adelphia-is-blocking-all-gambling-content-including-neteller.10303.html?&highlight=filter+internet

Where we see it is enirtely possible that ppl from those states may not even have the choice.. it might just be taken from them.. As internet gambling becomes against the law… we all lose.. not to mention we lose the right to pursue our hobby/aspirations as gamblers ourselves. The government has decided its an addiction, there our those that consider it a career (ask someone thats recently won the WSOP ..)
