Policeman plead ignorance in gambling case
The officers suspected of gambling illegally at the Chickasha Elks Lodge in Oklahoma have told the investigators that they thought the slot machines were legal. Only one of the officers has admitted that he received cash for his winnings on the machines. He also said that he thought the machines were legal, and that’s why he played. Another officer also stated that she believed the machines were legal, but did not admit to receiving winning, but just the money she put in them.

According to the officers, when you were ready to cash out, all you have to do is turn on a light, and the bartender comes out to cash you out.

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled where the DA will present videos from the Lodge cameras, bank records and investigators reports.

I don’t mean to sound as stupid as the cops but I lived in Oklahoma for 29 years and there are video slots in damn near every bar and country store. They all carry an Oklahoma Tax Commission stamp on them and I always thought they were legal also.:withstupi
