Just wanted to share recent news around PokerStars. In an effort to circumvent the US ban on online gambling, Pokerstars recently suspended all player accounts associated with VPN (Virtual Private Networks.) The majority of these accounts had been set-up after Black Friday.
However, PokerStars has not yet shared what will happen with the funds associated with the suspended accounts. For more details check out the full story here:
PokerStars Suspends VPN Players to Limit American Play.I know an English guy that logged in doing this whilst in Miami, didin’t think much about it but a couple months on he won the Sunday warm up and when he went to cash out they suspended his account and he is classed as a us player even though he is English and played the tourney he won in the uk…gutting as its 100k+
They have told him he will get his money but he has to wait for the DOJ to audit or something….
