I got an email that said that they no longer will allow N. American accounts at Poker Share. Can you explain why?

Have a look at this post:

Who is going to compensate affiliates for this? And just how are you going to estimate the life value of the players that were removed from affiliate accounts?

Do you plan to compensate for campaign design incurred for poker share?

What kind of mess is this?

So I see Poker Share is back in my account.

What is the deal with this?

Can they be promoted again to all players?

Or are they still cut off at the knees?

    Hi Dominique,

PokerShare was never removed from any Income Access accounts.

US/North American based affiliates are still free to refer players to PokerShare as long as these players are not from North America.

    Thanks,

    Sarah-Jane

I’m sure everyone got this but just in case:

I am sorry to have to inform you that as of 1st November 2005, Game Theory Limited, our licensor, has closed the accounts of all North American customers that play on PokerShare.com.

We are in dispute with Game Theory Limited and its parent company Excapsa. We do not accept that the license has been validly terminated and our lawyers are currently reviewing the position.

We would like to thank you for your support so far, we send our sincere apologies for any inconveniences you have suffered and we will keep you informed of all future developments.

    Kind regards

    PokerShare.com

    No, she hasn’t.

Personally I hope pokershare finds a better licensor all together.

What terrible behavior by UB and it’s owners.

Cheated affiliates out of their players, too!

    There’s more:

    Dear xxxxxx,

We would like to thank you for being a member of PokerShare. We are writing to inform you that on November 14th, 2005 at 9 a.m. Eastern time, this cardroom will no longer be available for play.

If you have funds in your account, please log in to the game as vanMelick, unregister from any preregistered event you may be in and process a withdrawal by November 14th, 2005 at 9 a.m. Eastern time so we may return your funds to you in your preferred method.

Cash funds remaining in your account as of November 14th, 2005 at 9 a.m. Eastern time will be automatically withdrawn and sent to you via check to the address we have on file for you.

    We apologize for the inconvenience.

    Sincerely

    Robert

So now who is paying the affiliates?

I understand massive amounts of money are owed. Pokershare was wildly successful.

Anyone know whats happening with pokershare? Do I sign-up as an affiliate? Yay or nay? Dominique you seem 2 be in the know.

I wouldn’t sign up as an affiliate, since they’re shutting down their cardroom.

No, don’t sign up with Pokershare. It’s done too well for Ultimate Bet to compete with and they are not letting Pokershare use the skin.

Keep on the lookout though – they will be back on another platform I bet.

You don’t abandon a business that does so well in such a short time – I am quite sure you haven’t seen the last of Pokershare.
