August 29, 2004 at 4:40 am #654073AnonymousGuestI think we’re taking this very well by simply removing their ads and banners from our sites.
This is an obvious case of ripping affiliates off. Nothing less!
December 20, 2004 at 11:36 pm #659062AnonymousInactiveHello all,
Has this issue with Pokerroom.com been resolved?
I have always heard good things about them – apparently they are one of the largest poker sites around.
I just checked CAP to see if they were reputable, and a certified member (which they are) but now i’m wondering if I should join their program.
Thanks,
Wayne
December 20, 2004 at 11:48 pm #659063AnonymousGuestLast I heard this issue wasn’t resolved, and Poker Room had no intention of resolving it.
December 20, 2004 at 11:59 pm #659064AnonymousInactiveThanks for the prompt reply Fergie!
One other question… Pokerroom is CAP certified, right? I can’t seem to find them on the list of certified programs.
Have they been removed (or never added) or am I just not looking hard enough?
Thanks again,
Wayne
December 22, 2004 at 2:24 pm #659106AnonymousInactiveDear All,
My name is Edward Ihre and I am the new Affiliate Manager at PokerRoom.com. I understand there is frustration and disappointment over the fact that we at PokerRoom.com have not included the casino-revenues in the affiliate program. Equal frustration over the fact that we have promised to consider and perhaps include it for the past year.
These are the facts and the history. There is nothing I can do about that except apologize that we haven’t made it a reality as of yet. What I can do is that I can guarantee you that the casino will be part of the new affiliate program we are set to launch March-April 2005. We haven’t decided on a model for it yet (%, games, riskbreakdown), but we will and we will also make sure that all parties (affiliates and PokerRoom) will feel equally good about the solution.
While we wait for the new program to be launched, please feel free to email me at [email protected] with any feedback, complaints you might have. I am sure we can find an interim solution we both would feel very good about before the new program becomes a reality.
Yours sincerely
Edward
January 1, 2005 at 9:54 pm #659596AnonymousInactiveFor those concerned, I did pull them for several months and was still making $500 or so a month from them. When Edward came on board he emialed me a month or so ago and I explained all the reasons we pulled them. He has definitely made up for this and we’re not working closely together to improve, he is a very easy guy to work with.
So for anyone doubting them, I advise you to get with Edward and spill you guts to him, he’ll make it right and I now believe that this new program will launch in a few months finally.
Thanks Edward from coming here to explain!
January 1, 2005 at 10:09 pm #659599AnonymousInactiveOnce they pay for casino games I’ll join.
January 1, 2005 at 10:58 pm #659601AnonymousGuestPoker Room is looking good from an affiliate’s perspective.
I’m going to give them a shot.
Thanks for everything you are doing, Edward.
