The site is Professional RakeBack
The site was originally built to cater to high volume winning poker players. Over time, our focus has evolved a bit to help offset that winning poker player traffic by pulling in more search engine random signups. We provide exclusive news and break stories when we can, we post bonuses and break down reward programs. There are poker site reviews included as well as special reports on US poker site payout speeds, where to play, etc etc.

Great design and loads very quickly. The only thing that I would do is make the home page more text heavy.

Yes, I agree that that could be a good idea. There are barriers to implementing that though. We’d have to kill the front page banner to get more content above the fold, or add it in the left sidebar somehow because the front page is all news articles and teasers of said articles.
I’m going to think about it a bit… as I sit here and look at the site, I’m thinking maybe some more text could be put in the footer, or at the bottom of the left sidebar. Something static. Going to have to come up with something that would be good for clients, content, and ofc keywords.

I do think that getting more of our bonus offers up front would be good, but the general layout of the page can not be easily altered as it is a drupal template. I kinda have to work with what I’ve got for lack of ability to alter it at the moment.
Perhaps I could fit something like that in at the bottom of the page, and it might help with the suggestion above as well, to get more text onto the homepage.

My conversions went up big time when I changed that up. On one site but I still have that format for other sites. It really depends if they are coming in that page and from what keywords, imo

Could I? Yes. Easily? Nope.
Do you recall what theme you swapped to? I think we are using Superfiish?

Good question. It highlights our brand and gives some visual flair to the site, but it does take up a lot of space above the fold and is the largest file on the page (page speed concerns). I’m afraid that if we remove it though that we’ll look too much like an affiliate site, and I want to keep some semblance of being a poker news site (as we do break exclusive US friendly poker industry stories with some frequency).
I’m also not sure that it can be removed given this particular theme we’re stuck with at the moment.
