Does anyone have any better idea on who to promote now that time has passed. This weekend I received a record number of traffic… and I sent a record number of hits to different sponsors and I am overwhelmed and how badly I performed.
Horse Profits – Since May 1st I sent 2,626 hits. All of these were from potential horse bettors. I got 2 depositers.
Just Bet – Bad conversions but they are responsive.
Sportsbook.com and properties – I am questioning the tracking, the numbers dont make sense. I dont think the hits are tracking and I am making no money. I have given them months of prime exposure and have nothing to show for it.
Bet Returns – The affiliate website is down, I don’t even know if my players tracked.
The only program that is doing anything for me is Book Maker. I sent a bit over 300 players this month and 1 in 3 deposited. I am now featuring them but I would like a runner up book.
Intertops – Tried logging in again and the control panel as well as the banners look like they were designed in 1995.
Bet US – I tried logging into betus again and there’s still no banner selection to choose from. They dont even have 458×60 horse banners.
Bodog – Let’s not go there, I realize the book has a great reputation but the affiliate management is a joke. They reject any affiliate that can send them any volume.
Who the hell can I promote? I am really missing VIP right now, I did not realize how great they were compared to other programs.

I guess people in the US are either getting cautious about online betting, or the books are shaving big time, now that the regulations will be coming soon…
Either way, we should have featured UK bookmakers for the derby – they still perform great for non-US players and God knows we would have 10 times the sign-ups… :unhappy:
As far as BetUS, I think they need time to “propagate” new affiliates – when I signed up it took almost 2 weeks till the banners started showing up. But they have such a bunch of weird banner sizes and limited selection, it’s not worth the hastle.

I spoke with Zack at length and it appears that the domain registrar in this case Directnic screwed up with the auto renewal. The site Betreturns.com now loads ok. After looking at the code behind betreturns everything is tracked through betempire.com and not the returns URL so you lost no traffic, just that you were not able to see the stats for a couple of days.
Feel free to PM me at anytime.
May 8, 2007 at 3:18 pm #735988AnonymousInactiveDerby Day made me smile again after months of sporting a long face
Bodog – 70+ regs, 50% deposits
the rest of my racebooks got a chunk of registrations and depositors, too. Yes, even good old VIPProfits.
May 8, 2007 at 4:16 pm #735996AnonymousInactiveI still Like BetUS, I think the banner selection is pretty good, they do convert, I get paid when I am told I will and Erin and Carlo, in my mind are very good at keeping affiliates informed on things.
Antoine, I gave you a reply in your posts about lines, but here it is again. Linesmaker has some cool stats, you can blend them in with your site and they dont look like an advertisement banner. He is a link to one of my pages to check one out. Its not an affiliate link.

They actually have 3 different types of stats. They are not my best converter, but they are good and pay on time and the aff manager is on top of things. To my surprise, Sportsbook.com is not doing well at all for my, but playersonly and superbook are doing very nicely. I am looking for one more book to promote myself, ever since youwager dropped the aff program, I have been looking. That book made me a ton, month in and month out , but they didnt stick around.
Simon!!! I lost your email address, can you please email me when you have time, so I can reply. I have a few advise type questions I’d like to ask.
Anyway, Good Luck to you all
May 8, 2007 at 5:45 pm #736004AnonymousInactiveI appreciate the info but what I am looking for is a service that compares the odds from different sportsbooks and I can then enter my affiliate id that links to the books. For example what is on my website http://www.livenflodds.com it would be great to find a similar service but with different books.
Regarding bodog… it’s great that they can convert but for the rest of us who have no knowledge on how to run an internet business or on how to promote a sportsbook up to their holy standards… any other recommendations?
It’s frustrating knowing I could be one of their top affiliates but that they are too stupid to give me a chance. Normally in this type of elistist situation I would move on but the pickings are so slim I am desperate.
Regarding betreturns thanks a lot for looking into it Simon. I logged in and it appears that my players tracked properly even while the affiliate website was down.
By the way Simon, when are you going to launch a new program? I’m half tempted to fly to San Jose… launch my own book and hire the old crew, Mario, Simon, and Marty!

we are upgrading our banner service for what seems to be forever. If you want banners for specific sports/campaigns please email me and we will get you doubleclick code. This code will display the best converting banners in our system so you don’t have to check individual click through rates per impression etc.
We’re getting the banner farm filled with banners but they will be generic and not event specific (this is where we will be providing the doubleclick code).
If you want us to manage the campaigns for you please email me. Let me know what size of banners you want and if you want to promote only one, or X types of events (let me know what types too!)
Thanks!

I do realize 100% that we need more banners in the partners site and more regular sized banners :hattip:
