Update on make up payments: Liyu is processing them now with Finance.
When Liyu is back we’ll update you all if there are any payments still outstanding.
October 2, 2008 at 3:24 pm #780726AnonymousInactiveLiyu paid some now and the remainder will be paid on Sunday and Monday.

I am not going to get upset for them taking few extra days for their holidays ,at our xmas time we do take extra days.I will give them crap for not doing payments BEFORE Barcelona ,that conference was booked months ago and it seems every time a conference happens payments are last thing on some programs minds.I had a big winner in august so no payment due but this is last program i would think of for bouncing payments or late payments. What is worst is no word from them but they did have time to post on the domain change issue .BS is starting to stand for something other than Brightshare in my books.
As I said I am not owed money and i would never complain about your holidays ,we tend to take an ENTIRE two week off for Christmas /New Years. You guys know when your holidays are and also when the conference was.You are not alone in late payments this month and some of them are not even Jewish or live in Israel I think the majority don’t get upset with late payments if they are told they are going to be late. Some count on the money on specific dates to pay bills.

Nothing worse than uncertainty, hey? cheersOctober 2, 2008 at 7:51 pm #780767AnonymousInactiveI guess I’m in the Sunday/Monday pile. Maybe you could pay my September commissions on Sunday or Monday while you’re at it? :wink-wink
October 6, 2008 at 2:34 am #781183AnonymousInactiveHmmm thanks to all for posting in here – have been a bit too busy for CAP visits of late, but was wondering if it was just me or others too and it’s reassuring to see that it’s not just me.
I must say I was also very surprised to have payment problems with Brightshare – they’ve always been so good in the past.
I really hope that this will be fully resolved soon – and good luck on getting it sorted and payments back on track
Thanks
Geno/CCOctober 6, 2008 at 1:34 pm #781239AnonymousInactiveLOL – wow – I just checked this morning and I today received my August payment (UK Neteller)
Thanks Brightshare – hope that September will be ‘back to normal’
All the best

October 6, 2008 at 8:27 pm #781346AnonymousInactiveI still have not been paid for September. :tooconfus
Amateur, have you been paid yet?
October 7, 2008 at 10:08 am #781428AnonymousInactiveI’ve been told that my Aug payment will appear in QT in the next 2-3 days.
HOWEVER, I’ve also been told that Brightshare WILL NOT make good on their returned check UNLESS I SEND THEM THE ORIGINAL FIRST!!!
Convenient, since my bank does not send the original back, only a copy!!
I am so pissed about this. I get a bad check, but I’m made out to be the bad guy for wanting to be reimbursed!!
This is a big mess! Brightshare should be ashamed of themselves for sending me that check in the first place, then demanding to get it back before they even pay me for it. Where I live, you don’t get a check back until you pay for it.
October 7, 2008 at 11:30 am #781453AnonymousInactiveOur checks are cash checks, so whether they are or aren’t cashed makes no difference to us because we are still out of pocket.
If we get the check back we can give it back to our bank and get credited. If we don’t get the check back then it’s like paying twice.
Please explain exactly what was the problem with this check – if the name on the check agrees with your bank account name and there were no errors on the check it will cash.
Thanks, Lloyd
October 7, 2008 at 12:51 pm #781465AnonymousInactiveHi Lloyd,
Thanks for responding.
I have sent you a jpg of the returned check from my gmail account. There is a note you will see from my bank stating why the check was returned.
Your accounting department will need to investigate this, and reconcile with your bank on what has occurred. All info you will need to trace the problem is clearly visible.
Remember, I haven’t been paid the FIRST TIME, nevermind a second! In additon to the fees I had to cover.
Please let me know how this can be resolved QUICKLY.

October 7, 2008 at 2:41 pm #781497biggygMemberTry explaining to your bank that it is a ‘cash check’ and it needs to be returned , they may be able to get the physical check and return to you.At the same time if i buy a money order for cash i get a receipt and if lost can get a refund. Not sure what sort of set up brightshare has but for myself i would have a backup for situations like this so nobody loses out.
October 7, 2008 at 3:47 pm #781521AnonymousInactiveConsider the fact that mail is lost every day. To send out hundreds or thousands of checks that could be lost or intercepted anywhere from one country to another is a chancy practice.
A backup plan must be in place for such cases. One has to have some sort of verification process in place somewhere.
October 7, 2008 at 6:29 pm #781552AnonymousInactiveI still have not received my August commissions. sneaky2.gi
