Playtech’s recently revealed (but long speculated) deal to provide gaming software for Sega’s online casino and Internet poker room could be the first step in a wider international campaign; it probably represents Playtech’s best shot at getting competitive in the U.S. market. Read more here.
This may indirectly be a boon for the industry, in that the distinction between “regular” gaming and “online casino gaming” may become blurry, if the same vendor is providing services to each. Surely, such an arrangement cannot hurt the online gaming industry.
