Hello,
Well, it’s official in my book…
I have an email address ONLY used for Platinum Play casino. I was just spammed at this address by the domain: Piller2338
Pillar2338.com are where all links are MASKED from and serves as both a re-direct and an affiliate code masking. here are the ID’s I pulled from a TCP scan during the redirect:
Silver Dollar Casino
http://www.silverdollar.com/?c=24944&s=LiForJudyAug20English Harbour Casino
http://www.englishharbour.com/?c=24944&s=LiForJudyAug20Carribean Gold Casino
http://www.caribbeangold.com/?c=24944&s=LiForJudyAug20Well, you can see the pattern here… I had to decipher the TCP packets to see what the user ID is, but it’s plain to see.
I would like to know why Platinum Play is selling off my email address???????
Any ideas guys?
August 22, 2007 at 12:49 am #746329AnonymousGuestVery smart KW.
I too…. use addys that are only used for certain casinos.
sadly …..I’ve had to do away with my catch all because I got SO much spam.
what is amazing to me is these places probably get about a buck tops for each addy they sell out.
while its true (or likely) that most players don’t ever know ….. that’s just another reason we are important as portal owners. we know how to find these things out.

August 22, 2007 at 1:05 pm #746359WebzcasMemberHi;
Our clients, Fortune Lounge, adhere to strict privacy regulations. They have never sold off player email addresses.
This is currently being looked into offline between Fortune Affiliates and kwblue.
Cheers,

Could explain the low income for selling such lists.
August 24, 2007 at 4:08 pm #746644AnonymousInactivePlease grab the affiliate’s id out of that post and stop them:

This is the same affiliate as in this email… this is an actual FF account this time, so maybe something can be done.

September 14, 2007 at 5:27 pm #748776biggygMemberOk http://www.riverbelle.com shows aff97156 in the download button under the major millions banner. I popped the ‘aff97156’ in yahoo and that was one of the result.
Ok im know im not losing my mind it did show in ie under the url http://www.riverbelle.com but now it has another code
September 15, 2007 at 1:29 am #748815AnonymousGuestso what does that mean CB?
are you saying the pop up is not your ID after you click your link and go to that site?
*sorry to be so dumb
September 15, 2007 at 1:50 am #748816biggygMemberit appeared to me at the time i was looking that the affiliate code belongs to the riverbelle homepage.then it turned into another number when it forwarded. this was in yahoo search .but just diregard my 2 cents as it may have been a redirect from yahoo. I thought maybe by searching that tag number if the affiliate has a website these results will also show in search results . I didnt pass PI school yet hehehe
