A few days ago, Webzcas posted something about scraper sites with .pl domains. I finally had a chance to look into this tonight, and I found that my main site, choicegambling.com, has been scraped left and right by these bastards.
This is absolutely INFURIATING. I did NOT put together a huge site so that these unethical sons of bitches could come along and capitalize on my hard work.
The whois information for one of the sites shows a name of “Albert Jerka, Andrzej Kostrzewa” — does anyone know who this is?
Another name I found is Tomasz Holeksa.
Still another name — Pawel Gumulak. I believe there is a CAP member named Pawel — the same person perhaps?
:fencing: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:
June 4, 2006 at 7:42 am #694368AnonymousInactiveThese sites look like they have scraped the results from google and not our actual sites. They then redirect to veryfastsearch PPC Engine when visited.
They are not as it were scraping your site. They are actually giving you a link back – thus a crude attempt at bowling your site. The problem is, the smaller newer sites are going to be hurt by this.
This is technically not illegal and even if we could identify the individual behind these sites, legal action would fail.
As for who is behind it. The person will be using a BP Server or a free hosting site which allows spammy sites. There is also a .pl server that allows free hosting as well. Unfortunately we can only hope google removes them and quickly. I have made a very detailed spam report. I suggest every one else being attacked by these sites also does so.

:hehe:But you’re right that we need to get the polish site identified as scraping spam. What amazes me though is that googles highliy spohisitcated search alorythms don’t detect a simply redirect that a 10 year old could identify as worthless and not containing the content indicated.
When is google going to get this sorted ?
June 4, 2006 at 1:24 pm #694391AnonymousInactiveThanks guys…. No lynching today. sigh.gif
The sites I found actually do not provide a link back to my site.
One example — the “title” of my entry is hyperlinked to hxxp://5063.xkg8wk.info/ ,
the “cached” link points to hxxp://2679.pdydwh.info/ , and the “similar pages” link goes to hxxp://1568.ytrlwn.info/ :confused:But, that doesn’t mean I’m not being bowled somewhere else. Either way, it’s very frustrating.
June 4, 2006 at 11:28 pm #694462AnonymousInactiveI find this crazy over the scraping of your site. Take two seconds and enter search phrase casino on net”choicegambling.com” into vivisimo this should get you really pissed off!!
June 5, 2006 at 12:10 am #694468AnonymousInactiveWhat is vivisimo?
How bad is drawdead? I know im getting owned hard, but ive got good cross live promos and such…
June 5, 2006 at 12:33 am #694469AnonymousInactiveI am starting to feel this badly now.
This guy is stealing all my type in traffic.
My daily revenues are way down.
Google seems to be removing sites but they sprout back up.
Half of the industry is under attack now and tomorrow the casinos will wake up to dwindling revenues. Most of the major sites and some of the smaller ones are under siege. The search results for gambling in all engines are clogged wit this crap.
I think this whole thing is a set up to either take revenge because we are taking away their best revenue, or an attempt to blackmail the casinos into going back to paying them.
June 5, 2006 at 12:42 am #694471AnonymousInactiveWho is this guy Dominique, and Holis vivisimo is a search engine that is very good for spammy results.
Engineer your site or sites are being ravaged!!
I will be back in a hour, Must check something out.
June 5, 2006 at 12:44 am #694472AnonymousInactiveWow, geez. :unhappy: :unhappy:
It looks like they scraped my link exchange text from someone else’s links page. The text is mostly the same eveywhere:
Online Casino Gambling
ChoiceGambling.com offers clean, easy-to-read reviews of the best online casinos, poker rooms, bingo halls, and sportsbooks. That is the anchor text and description I use sometimes when I exchange links. They could have taken that from any number of sites; I have no way to track down the source. I don’t know if this is hurting me or not… In some instances I am getting links back to my site — hopefully not too many at once, though.
Damn… Wish I could spend more time writing and building sites, and less time worrying about how these thieves are affecting me. :unhappy:
Holis — look at this link: (you will need to stitch the two lines together) xhttp://vivisimo.com/search?query=%22casino+on+net%22+drawdead.com&v%3Aproject=vivisimo-com&v%3Asources=Web&x=0&y=0
Click on some of the results. If you don’t find “drawdead” in a particular result, try the cached version instead.
If you look at this page — xhttp://2533.69sb3v.info/ — you will find an example where they are using your information, but they are not providing a link back to your site. Instead, if someone clicks on that link with “Drawdead.com” in it, they will be taken to xhttp://2439.nt16z6.info/
This is what many of the .pl sites are doing to me also. :cuss:June 5, 2006 at 12:57 am #694475AnonymousInactiveDom, I hear you. Type gamesandcasino into Google, scroll down a bit, and LOOK AT ALL OF THAT CRAP!!
Engineer your site or sites are being ravaged!!
:unhappy: :unhappy: :unhappy:
What makes this even worse (for me) is that I won’t be online much this week to do anything about it! Maybe 3 or 4 hours a day, max. :unhappy:

June 5, 2006 at 1:13 am #694479AnonymousInactiveThose are some of the same sites that are scraping me — int.pl, ltd.pl, kom.pl, etc.
June 5, 2006 at 1:16 am #694480AnonymousInactiveThis is one guy flexing his muscle at the industry.
I am not sure if it is Janet or not, or if Janet is actually feeling threated by this guy himself.
The only one at this point who knows the identity for sure is 888.
According to Alexa I am still doing well.

But my backlinks have been wiped clean:

Maybe google’s cleaing up will eliminate all my backlink counts?
June 5, 2006 at 1:32 am #694482AnonymousInactiveI have tried to contact Lou to give me the ability to edit my posts in the public forum. I need that option, if I am to persue Janet which I believe is behind some of this stuff.
Everyone seems to be relying on Google results too much. There are other methods which are better.
Engineer I totally understand your situation, it would be nice to concentrate on your site instead of worrying about this crap.
Dominique I feel sorry that you are now at a stage of taking losses. All of this was forcasted as soon as we began the attack on 888. Lots can be done to rectify the problem.
Holis your site too has been so beat on I am amazed you are still putting up with it.
Forgive me if I look into your sites, but I consider you all friends and I hate this crap.
My site is okay, nothing major too report. To summarize you are all being attacked aggressively.
Remeber Janet does have ties to Moniker server.
