SEO. You can have all the traffic in the world and still have a PR1, not to mention any play on SE what so ever. Does anyone know of a mod or a way around this? Anyway to make PHPBB more SE friendly.
pr doesn’t matter for forums.. what matters is the #of pages indexed by the SEs.
presumably there are free plugins for phbb to SEO it up somewhat. Out of the Box it prob has minimal features… have a look for some plugins for the win imo.
From what I can tell, pretty much only the front page matters, and pr matters little.
If the front page makes it, the forum gets spidered and indexed approriately.
You can make an html page with nice seo describing the purpose of the forum in detail and put it in the menu and that can help.
I do think there is a plugin, but I don’t do php anymore so I am not up to date.
phpbb-seo.com – not great but it does the job.
