The issue is that you don’t know when to quit.
October 21, 2004 at 1:30 am #656528vladcizsolMemberOk guys we have had enough of this.
To Bad Classics was offering you advice about your site and pointing out a valid concern about using exisiting content without permission from the author. I dont think he was pissing on your thread or project, just trying to point that out to you. When you ask for advice on an open forum you have to expect to receive and consider all views on the topic. Don’t get all fired up if someone offers a view or oppinion you dont agree with. If someone is purposely rude or obnoxious you can be sure either Randy, Dominique or myself will step in and correct that. In this case that wasnt what was happening, Classics was offering you good advice to consider.
Classics try to bear in mind you are dealing with people and not just cold hard facts when posting. The point can be lost, no matter how valid, if the other parties feel you are being abrupt or combative. I recoginize that was not your intent, but you can still ruffle peoples feathers sometimes unnecessarily.
Also please remember Dominique is a moderator, when she steps into a conversation with the intent of calming the participants down she is doing her job. A job she is NOT paid for and is not easy, please show her the courtesy due and relax rather then tense up and get armored for battle. This is a conversation not a debate or argument, let’s discuss things calmly and professionally.
Thanks guys :satisfied
