Paradise Affiliates has been removed from CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com as a Certified Poker Program as of 9/21/2005. Forum will be closed within 2 weeks.
Please contact us if there are any questions or concerns.
September 22, 2005 at 11:49 am #673171AnonymousInactiveCan you clarify if they left on their own accord or whether they have been asked to leave?
September 22, 2005 at 10:27 pm #673228vladcizsolMemberThey have been asked to leave Red due to their connections with Sporting Bet.
While they may be producing revenues now, we have every reason to believe that they will stab their affiliates in the back in the very near future based on their past track record.
September 22, 2005 at 10:41 pm #673231AnonymousInactiveThanks for that, Professor.
Perhaps all the affiliate managers working for Sporting Bet owned places need to hook up and talk – you guys are not at fault here. You are being strung along too – and you will fall just as hard when they pull out next time.
I recommend you find a different program to work with – there are lots of them around and they are always looking for experienced managers.
CAP does have a mission to help and protect affiliates. Allowing the likes of Sporting Bet to recruit new affiliates here is hardly in our interest.
September 23, 2005 at 2:51 am #673243AnonymousInactiveUnbelievable. What past track record leads you believe that this will lead to “stabbing in the back?”
I can imagine a story like this would need some backing. Thanks!
To be noted – their affilate Manager Stephen Freund is a good guy with an excellent track record.gPowell

They then shut the program and stole all of the player base. Sporting bet owns the Paradise poker affiliate program and poker rooms.
I think this was a solid and deserved decision. I’m sure Stephen is a great guy, but the decision to close the program would not be in his hands.
September 23, 2005 at 3:32 am #673246AnonymousInactiveStephen may be a good guy, but if so, he will also recognize the perils that come with Sportingbet’s recent actions, and either take action to reverse them, or find a job with a reputable operation.
I fully support CAPs decision (though to be honest, since I don’t promote either operation, that’s not saying a whole lot). Thanks, guys.
September 23, 2005 at 6:31 am #673250AnonymousInactiveWith all due respect I think the action of becoming “Decertified” came from Paradise, not CAP.
The simple solution is that if you think you are going to be “stabbed in the back” then simply don’t promote them.
Everyone has to make their own decision about every program we promote.

I dont think that they will stab me in the back, they all ready did. Another division of this company outright stole my whole player base and never compensated me for it.
It’s common sense to assume that this same company would not hesitate to repeat the process with its poker room.

Thanks Prof.
Interesting though I was under the impression that they left on their own accord.
September 23, 2005 at 1:24 pm #673263vladcizsolMemberIm sure thats what they would prefer to say Red.

And don’t forget the closure of Casino Craze and Fast Poker. Also their properties. I never got paid, even though I got a letter that said they would pay up what was owed to that point, the end of that month. After that all earned income was lost and players moved to another casino without being tracked back to us.
With all the casino ownership moves lately, each time the receiving program went through pains to integrate everything so affiliates did not lose.
To Sporting Bet, affiliates are disposable and contracts with affiliates are not worth the bandwidth they occupy.
September 23, 2005 at 4:12 pm #673283vladcizsolMemberGuys I am going to lock this thread as it wasnt our intent to have this turn into Paradise Affiliates bashing session.
As of now Paradise Poker hasnt done anything wrong yet. Our decision is based on the track record and recent announcements of their parent company. I understand a lot of people have a personal attachment to Stephen and this is whats prompting the discomfort over this announcement. I sincerely wish everyone that has chosen to work with Paradise the best of luck and I hope they dont get burned in the end.
I will be closing this particular forum at the end of the day so as not to cause confusion to affiliates who might see it listed here at CAP as a certified partner.
