Palin’s Attack On Obama’s Patriotism Legitimizes Questions About The Palins’ Association With Group Founded By America-Hating Secessionist.
Sarah Palin attacked Obama’s patriotism today over his association with former Weatherman Bill Ayers — a move that makes it perfectly legitimate to raise questions about the Palins’ associations with a group founded by an Alaska secessionist who once professed his “hatred for the American government” and cursed our “damn flag.”
In Colorado today, Palin seized on the big front-page New York Times story about Ayers and Obama, which concludes that the two men “do not appear to have been close,” to launch her most vicious attack yet on the Illinois Senator — a harbinger of what’s to come.
If Palin is going to say this, it is now perfectly legitimate to point out that she repeatedly courted a secessionist group founded by someone who openly professed hatred of the American government, cursed our flag, and wanted to secede from the Union.
The group is the Alaska Independence Party, which sees as its ultimate goal seceding from the union. Todd was a member, with a brief exception, from 1995 until 2002, according to the Division of Elections in Alaska.
In 1994, Palin attended the group’s annual convention, according to witnesses who spoke to ABC News’ Jake Tapper. The McCain campaign has confirmed she visited the group’s 2000 convention, and she addressed its convention this year, as an incumbent governor whose oath of office includes upholding the Constitution of the United States.

Palin Billed State for Nights Spent at Home (Palin Was Paid $17,000 In Expenses To Live At Home)
“Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has billed taxpayers for 312 nights spent in her own home during her first 19 months in office, charging a “per diem” allowance intended to cover meals and incidental expenses while traveling on state business.”
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/09/08/AR2008090803088.html?nav=hcmoduletmvPalin tax returns show couple made $166,000 in 2007, but fell short on estimated payments
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/news/2008/10/palin_tax_returns_for_2006_and_1.php
“Sarah Palin makes $125,000 a year as Alaska governor. Plus, since she took the job in December 2006, she hasn’t paid taxes on the more than $17,000 she received in controversial per diem payments for working out of the family’s lakeside home in Wasilla — some 575 miles from the capital of Juneau.”October 6, 2008 at 1:49 pm #781240AnonymousInactiveWell you know, when you’re a republican it’s ok to pick and choose the laws you want to follow, president Bush has demonstrated how that works.
So she’s so patriotic that she’s willing to steal from the government she runs in order to fight big government. I’m starting to hear “God Bless America” in the background.
October 6, 2008 at 2:30 pm #781253AnonymousInactiveTax lawyers are feasting on Sarah Palin’s tax returns. On Friday, the Alaska Governor and Republican vice presidential nominee released her returns and personal financial disclosure report. According to the WSJ, they showed her to be the lowest earner of the four national candidates. According to tax law profs Jack Bogdanski, of Lewis & Clark, and Bryan Camp, of Texas Tech, they also show that she owes tens of thousands of dollars in additional taxes, penalties and interest.
Bogdanski writes that there’s “no serious debate . . . about the fact that at least the amounts paid for the children’s travel — $24,728.83 in 2007, according to the Washington Post — are taxable. The campaign’s tax lawyer [Washington D.C. tax lawyer Roger M. Olsen] has got at least that much of the law, and perhaps more, wrong. . . . And the fact that the state payroll office got it wrong, too, doesn’t erase the Palins’ unpaid tax liability.”
October 6, 2008 at 3:11 pm #781263AnonymousInactiveYes, In regard to taxes – it could be a problem. Although, alot of people, especially small business owners owe back taxes. The really problem is when you talk about helping others and don’t do it.
It seems that both Obama and Biden would personal not help according to their tax returns. They must feel that it should be the American taxpayers.
Obama’s tax returns can be found here: view here
Biden’s tax returns can be found here: view here
Sen. Joe Biden’s tax returns show that the Bidens have been amazingly tight-fisted when it comes to their charitable giving. Despite income ranging from $210,432 – $321,379 over the ten-year period, the Bidens have given only $120 – $995 per year to charity, which amounts to 0.06% – 0.31% of their income.
Independent Sector reports that 89% of American households contribute to charity, with an average contribution of $1,620 — 3.1% of income!October 6, 2008 at 3:16 pm #781265AnonymousInactive@bleuze 179410 wrote:

IMO The Dems are more likely to help people more then the repbliicans which is demonstrated by the programs like ACORN that republicans like to bitch about.
Judging someone by how much they give is very shallow. We as a people need to STOP judging folks, because none of us is without sin no matter how hard you try to portray otherwise.
October 6, 2008 at 3:29 pm #781268AnonymousInactiveMy computer froze on me so I wasn’t able to finish.
I also hope that they do bring up the Keating problem since Mccain was the longly Republican and he was found innocent along with one other Democratic. 2 of the other Democratics were forced to resign.
In addition, it would be nice to then bring out Obama’s questionable friends or should I say associates! http://politicalpartypoop.com/category/socialist/October 6, 2008 at 3:40 pm #781270AnonymousInactive@bleuze 179415 wrote:

It’s about judgment. Keating was a very personal friend and even vacationed with the McCains and was in his friggen 50’s!
Obama was 8 when Ray did his crazy stuff and they are not close. Is Obama and Ayers the only one that served on that board? I guess I’ll have to go get some facts so I know what the heck the big deal is.
Edit: Okay, I found the current board that they were both on. Should we go and find these folks and accuse them of palling around with a terrorist?

Reds, Radicals, Terrorists and Traitors — Progressives For Obama
So how many of these folks are in jail for the sins committed above? Does the USA allow terrorists to roam our streets and not do anything?
You people are looking very desparate. I hope you can come up with some real threats that we should fear. Like what the current administration has done to our country.
October 6, 2008 at 4:59 pm #781283AnonymousInactiveAyers is nothing. Obama was the CEO of Ayers” foundation. It’s the other associates, including his ties to some Middle East readicals (PLO, Acorn, etc). Thus, you are correct about judgement!
In addition, a poor person like Obama was able to attend an elite school like Harvard by being poor and receiving no scholarships. He was able to attend because of the money that was paid by a radical Middle Eastean. Why is it he does not want the school or himself to
release the documents. I’m sure that everyone knows about the schooling of other politicans (Bush, McCain, etc)October 6, 2008 at 5:28 pm #781287AnonymousInactive@bleuze 179436 wrote:

So did they take the tests, exams and go to class for him as well?
Obama graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Harvard Law School, where he also served as President of the Harvard Law Review.
I guess you know this to be true because it’s on the internet huh? Check back with me on November 5th and we can see just how many folks you convinced of that and if it matters to the voters.
October 6, 2008 at 5:30 pm #781288AnonymousInactiveAbout time we start seeing some of the mysterious past of the great one, he has been held in a cloak since day one. Americans are supposed to not question who the person is, just what is preached I guess. I really hope to see lot more of what He has been into the last 30 years running up to the higest powered position on the planet.

We heard this during the primarys before he was the nominee. Did you miss that? THIS IS A DESPARATE MOVE THAT BEEN PLAYED. Better go back and pull some other stuff out. McPalin is falling behind and time is running out.
Gallup Daily: Obama Leads 50% to 42% NEW October 6, 2008
Barack Obama leads John McCain among registered voters across the country by a 50% to 42% margin in Gallup Poll Daily tracking from Oct. 3-5, the tenth straight day in which Obama has held a statistically significant lead.
October 6, 2008 at 5:37 pm #781290AnonymousInactiveNearly half (44%) of 18- to 29-year-olds surveyed for a USA Today/MTV/Gallup poll consider this presidential election the most important in a half-century, and most expect the outcome to directly impact their lives. They prefer Barack Obama over John McCain by a 2-to-1 margin, seeing him as a chance to achieve positive change and make history.
People are focused on the future, not your crap. The past is not going to help the GOP this trip.

As has been told wisdom comes with time, people learn from their mistakes and realize when they are over 40 just how stupid they were in the past.
