HI!
We have launched our new site http://www.toponlinegambling.com about 1 month ago. ( it has been online since Feburary 2005). although the design is not final we are working hard on content, so far about 35 pages, the goal is aroubd 300.
For some reason google only indexes our index page and Yahoo only our index / css. (We had 17 indexed Yahoo pages before), any thoughts on this ?
I would really appreciate any feedback on design / SEO stuff / general issues.
Thanks everyone!
Have a nice day ,

however with a domain name like that are you sure the domain hasnt been a site in the past? it may been been blacklisted etc. in which case you need a reinclusion request. go to waybackmachin.org to see if it has had a previous owner.
it will take time for google to do a crawl anyway. anything upto 6-8 weeks but some links it may be faster.
even then you’ll be sandboxed for upto more than a year, and i’ve not had much luck with yahoo either…but every site is different.
just keep at it!

I have checked and didn’t find any previous owners for this domain, Maybe I didn’t check deep enough.
We have made several changed to the site now, I think it looks a bit better.
For now our focus will be adding more and more content, hopefully we can build some PR and get some backlinks!Have a good Day

http://www.toponlinegambling.comNovember 24, 2005 at 11:31 pm #677214AnonymousInactiveMake sure you put up a sitemap. Google and Yahoo love them and they will get stuff off of there. As well google just doesn’t like gambling sites as much as it used to… make sure you have lots of backlinks. That will help for sure as google finds u more and more.

November 24, 2005 at 11:41 pm #677216AnonymousInactiveThanks for the tips!
We already have a sitemap with a link to it on every page.
As for google hit, well, according to the cache the LAST time it crawled was 15/11. I’m not quite sure when the first time was but it could be much before as we only added it to google a couple of weeks before that .The site has been online ( with 1 page though) since February, does it matter? I mean does that help it get through the sandbox?
Cheers

http://www.toponlinegambling.comPM me if you want to swap links!
November 25, 2005 at 12:24 am #677218AnonymousInactiveAhhh so yourin nfor a wait really… keep on doing what your doing. Add linkbacks and in theory you should get listed in full… In practice… well I havent yet read anywhere that we are going the wrong way about things…
Optimise for MSN for the meantime. There is a lot of traffic on there and you will be able to learn about how to change things in the meantime.
I heard of someone that was sitting in the sandbox for 16 months the other day??? So yeah could be a little bit of a wait.
