Barney Frank’s online gambling legalization bill, introduced last year but still chugging its way through the U.S. legislative system, continues to gather support. With many other options for legal online gambling in the U.S. emerging, Frank’s bill would still probably be the best bet for the industry, and for online gambling affiliate marketers. Read why here.
“Consumer Protection” is a good thing. However, I think Frank is peaking too early in timing. Too many other big issues on the table, and after all, it’s an election year, and many are going to be afraid to stick their neck out to support online gambling. They should aim to attach this bill to another one, a la the Ports/UIGEA bill. That would be on way to fast-track this whole thing.
