We have an extraordinary generic domain for sale.
The property is==>
ONLINE-CASINO.COM (that’s right, one hyphen)
This domain has tremendous value in commerce! Build a deep site, link it, SEO it –and then the world is your oyster.
Assume no traffic, this domain is for kicking ass in the search engines.
Overture shows 549,604 searches last month for “online casino.” Market PPC rates on this keyword phrase are currently $4 per click.
Although the keyword phrase “online casino” gets 500,000+ monthly searches in Overture at a current price of $4 per click, that PPC bid may be a historical low, as I have seen it over $15.
Now, if you run a casino using this domain and link it properly, you can expect to capture a percentage of search engine traffic, say only 5% of the Overture number, as an approximation, remembering that Overture is big but is not the whole internet.
So, based on this conservative estimate, if you are able to acquire 1,000 clicks per day (30,000 per clicks per month) which are worth $4 per click, that’s $120,000 worth of traffic EACH MONTH. When the PPC price on this KW rises in the future, as it is bound to do, the traffic and the domain are even more valueable.
The domain [ONLINE-CASINO.COM] is price reduced to fly out the door. The list price is $1,750,000. It is now slashed to $175,000 for an IMMEDIATE sale.
Subject to errors, omissions, prior sale, withdrawal, change in price or terms without notice.

April 23, 2004 at 12:12 am #648240vladcizsolMemberThat is a very attractive domain. I think Antoine was having some fun…
Good Luck DH I think you will sell that one quickly.

++++++++++++OK, thx!
April 23, 2004 at 12:24 am #648242AnonymousInactiveYeah, sorry I was having some fun. That is a great domain name, I can see a casino picking it up more so than an affiliate. You might want to use either afternic.com to sell it or see if igamingbusiness.com can help you out.
Funny thing is I did go for a crap right before posting that message…

April 27, 2004 at 2:11 pm #648459AnonymousInactiveHi DaddyHalbucks !
Now I think you must be dreaming if you think you can find some willing to pay 175 000 for a hyphened domain. If you really get that amount from that domain you must be a great salesman or the world must have become grazy.
First of all I think that the name is not a good name for true casino because it´s not brandable, second the SE´s will give you a tiny advantage when using a domain like this, but theres dozens of these online-casino domains with different endings. For example I could purchase onlinecasino and online-casino with lousy 30eur/year but of course those would not be .com, but does the SE´s care about .com = no
I think that the true value of that domain is around 10 – 20k, but thats only my opinion.
Furthermore I wish to pointout that you make it seem so easy getting in the top of SE´s just because you have the right domain, well as most of you know that is not even close – it takes a lot of work to get there and even you put a lot of money into it still you might be short handet.
– Just my honest opinion, Mika

++++++++++++++Thanks.
Great things always start with dreams.
I must be the greatest salesman in the world, because I am negotiating with a few casino companies right now.
This domain is attracting ALOT of interest.
Price: $175,000 (FIRM!)

Oh My God!
There has to be a lot of excess cash lying around casino managers, well I hope you get the sale and let us know if you do.
Maybe I should start harvesting gambling domainsBest of luck – Mika
April 27, 2004 at 11:23 pm #648489AnonymousInactiveI agree the casino would be impossible to brand. How is the average person supposed to remember if they went to online-casino.com, casino-online.com, onlinecasinoonline.com, casinoonline.com, etc
April 27, 2004 at 11:49 pm #648491AnonymousGuestI’ve been in the domain name business a while, and I think it is over priced.
Hyphenated names aren’t that sought after.
I doubt you’d get even $10,000.00 for it.
I could be wrong.
Have you had it appraised?

+++++++++++++++++++Correct.
However, this is one of the most valueable keyword phrases in the world.

I agree with Fergie on this.
The domain name by itself is not that valuable.
Now, if you had an established stream of traffic going to it already, that would be different.
