Hey folks..
Please barry over with me, if you find this question lame.. Anyway, i was wondering:
If you have a domain, eg. http://www.mydomain.com and then you make 3 subdomains, eg. http://www.mysubdomain.mydomain.com http://www.subidisub.mydomain.com & http://www.whatever.mydomain.com – does google then index this as one domain, or as 4 domains (1 domain + 3 subdomains) ?
I was wondering, caus if it index it as 4 domains, couldn’t you just make, lets say 70000 subdomains and make them all link to your own homepage, and thereby get a high PR?
Look forward to some answers

Do you really believe 70,000 subdomains linking to your own homepage will get your homepage a high PR?
It’s doesn’t matter how google treats subdomains nor how many subdomains will link to your homepage.. It’s more a question of how will the 70,000 sub domains will gain the PR to transfer to your hompage?

(but also knows they actually belong together)

70,000 sub domains is a bit too much…, what you should do and have is a good content and a proper sitemap submitted to Google.
