I know this might not be the area to place this #, but I wanted to make sure everyone who wants it got it. I did place it in the online Gaming news section as well. The poker group sent out a # today to call the fed resv to voice your opine on onlne poker . The number they gave is not the one to call.
If you want to voice your opine on the online gaming bill that the fed resv is voting on that # is 202-974-7008
I’m going to copy what I posted in another thread here.
I just got off the phone with the nicest guy! After mentioning UIGEA he know right away why I was calling (as others had called today as well) and told me what to do to voice my concerns.I then proceeded to tell him that this affected me personally and he transfered me to the voice mail of the comment line for the Board of Governors office where I pleaded my case. That number is 202-974-7008.
He also gave me the following information for anyone that is interested:
Go to http://federalreserve.gov/aboutthefed/default.htm. Scroll down the bottom and click the contact us form and send to them.
The points I was told to make are below sent out by PPA:
Tell them:
* The federal agencies responsible for our nation’s economy should not be focused on Internet poker regulations.
* Finalization of the UIGEA rules will add additional burdens on our already crippled financial systems.
* Internet poker is a game of skill and form of recreation for millions of Americans; it should be exempted from the UIGEA.
* Please do not finalize the UIGEA regulations until their impact on our banking systems and average Americans has been fully studied.Your # is right Gam, I have that dang thing where I reverse numbers, I should have been more careful, sorry bout that. I am going to check the other post I did to make sure I have it right.
