I had a conference call with Jeff and Fred yesterday (who spoke very highly of you and Dominique by the way ) and they are taking the issue to the board for approval. We discussed a modified plan that acheives their goal of restimulating inactive publishers while meeting affiliate needs as well.
In the mean time I want to reiterate that Casino Blasters has always been honorable in their dealings with players and affiliates. They have no intent of closing peoples accounts or seizing players. This term came about as a result of their desire to get people promoting their brands again and they never viewed it as predatory. Jeff was quick to point out that the wording stated that this term was enacted on a case by case basis and was not going to be used as a way to avoid paying people.
I stressed that this term as it stood was going to be unacceptable to the vast majority of affiliates and that in its present form would do more harm then good.
Lets give them a few days and see what they can do…
:hattip:

Thank you, Lou! :clapper:
It would really be nice to know what this ‘modified plan’ was before putting it into action, though. Since it will be part of the new terms and conditions, we (AGD) would be very interested in the possible ‘solution’.

Today I received an email from Evano, claiming he tried to call me unsuccessfully. He stated my phone# … which was correct. He said he was to discuss important information on how to increase the revenue I generated for myself with Casino Blasters?????
…My account’s got frozen also and today I received the exact same email. I think I’m just going forget them and if they ever start to promote the US again I’m still going to forget them.

Well, they disabled Led’s account, they disabled Sunflower’s account, and today they disabled my account as well. (BCP only, not Casino Blasters. Yet.) :sarcasm:
When I try to log in, I get a popup alert that says “Your login has been blocked. Please contact the administrator.” sneaky2.gi

Universal4June 20, 2008 at 12:49 pm #770654vladcizsolMemberKW once its approved I will post full details. Its a compromise so both parties come away with an acceptable solution. Though its not optmum I am sure affiliates will prefer it over the present situation.
Thanks for the head up Engineer and Universal I wil bring this up with Jeff and Fred and make sure your accounts get unlocked and figure out why they were locked in the first place. I was told they wouldnt be locking affiliates out or closing accounts so hopefully this is a system/procedural error. If its not then this will turn into a very serious situation which we are all trying to avoid.
June 20, 2008 at 3:40 pm #770679AnonymousInactiveThanks Lou.
I am not quite sure who is approving the term, though, since AGD has not been involved in the discussion since the initial contact. Of course, we cannot ensure that AGD will approve the term unless we are able to look it over and vote upon it prior to launch.
Jeff has my contact details and has promised to update AGD with the information, but I have yet to see the possible terms update.
June 20, 2008 at 4:03 pm #770682AnonymousInactiveI think Jeff and Fred are trying to get their proposal approved by the casinos before presenting it.
June 20, 2008 at 5:20 pm #770691AnonymousInactiveLou,
I heard back from Allen (let me remind that this is a BCP issue) that they are aware my account was locked.
Rather than discuss the details here, I am available to let you know what was told to me etc…(you might be interested in the details)
Drop me a pm if you want more details, or if you would like my phone number and we can briefly chat about it.

I am going to round everyone up tomorrow hopefully.
June 25, 2008 at 5:43 pm #771106vladcizsolMemberGuys I have just had another conference with Casino Blasters/Best Casino Partner management and at this time they do not wish to make any positive changes in the present terms and conditions. Obviously, as they stand now, the terms and conditions can be applied in a predatory manner if they so choose. I have been told repeatedly that there is no intent to apply them and I urge everyone to form their own opinion on this based on your past relationship with Casino Blasters.
Regarding BCP, I was told the account closures at Best Casino Partner were due to AllStar Affiliate accounts being transfered to BCP and that was a “mistake”. Fred told me the accounts closed were not active and that the decision to close all of them was made this past week and thats what triggered the emails. The timing of the closures was a coincidence despite the fact that Allstar closed over a year ago. Again make your own decision on the accuracy of this.
I am extremely disappointed with this decision and am discussing it with our certification team now.
June 25, 2008 at 8:09 pm #771116AnonymousInactiveI certainly hope that their affiliates stop promotion immediately. The problem with this attitude is that it will bite them in the butt in the end. From what I have gathered, once a program angers it’s affiliates – they do not return even when the issue is resolved.
Unfortunately, they are too greedy in the short term to see what will happen in the long term. Good luck with that sinking ship CB/BCP – AGD is just as disappointed as CAP. This shows just how affiliate-UNfriendly these programs are becoming.
Save yourself the hassle, affiliates, and promote programs that keep their word.
June 25, 2008 at 8:27 pm #771118AnonymousInactiveThanks for the update, Lou.
It’s unfortunate that the people at CB / BCP don’t realize how badly this will damage their business. :huh2:
June 25, 2008 at 8:41 pm #771120vladcizsolMemberBelieve me Engineer I explained that too them over and over and over but their senior management didnt seem to care and decided to let the chips fall where they may.
June 25, 2008 at 9:13 pm #771123AnonymousInactiveWe all appreciate your help, Lou. It is too bad they have taken the wrong path. I guess they don’t mind losing out in the long run – maybe this says something about where the programs are heading?
It’s a good thing I don’t really make anything with them, but even if I did – I would get out now before it gets 100x worse.
