If you are an affiliate at bet365, you have certainly noticed the re-branding of our home page and of your affiliate account.

You now need to update your tracking URL and we invite you to use our newest creatives.
In order to ensure that your affiliate links continue to work correctly, you must replace your old bet365 affiliate tracking URLs by December 15th, 2008.
Old tracking will stop working after this date, new tracking already works.

Tracking URLs now carry less variables
    – Assign a tracker to a specific language so that your visitor will land on one of the 15 languages we offer throughout all our products
    – Remember to use the product specific tracking URL for each product, that will convert better as they will land on the product specific page
    – You can create by default up to 10 trackers for your different campaigns, if you need more just let us know

Update your text links now with the most relevant tracking URL. Get these from your “manage links” section in your affiliate account.

Our creative gallery is now powered with a state of the art ad-serving tool
    – Choose the right banners from more than 40,000 different new creatives. No worries, the system is fast and it’s easy to find your banner
    – All creatives associated with an “English” tracker are geo-targeted, displaying the right currency and offer (when applicable)
    – Use the code provided by our hosted creative gallery; that ensures you are displaying the best converting banner as we have access to stats enabling us to know which ones convert better.

Update your banners now and let our ad-serving tool work for you. Get the new creatives in the “Creative Banners” section in your affiliate account.

Remember, you must update your tracking URLs and banners. Get in touch with any questions, we’re here to help if you need assistance.

If you are not currently an affiliate at bet365, PM and we’ll be happy to drive you through our offering.

We have extended the deadline to replace your tracking URLs and banners to January 19th.
Update your links and banners today!! See the previous post for details.

You must update the new tracking URLs and banner code provided by our system if you have not updated them already after November the 4th.

    Any questions just ask.

    Geof,

Are there any thoughts to providing online reports that list the number of “old clicks” on a daily basis, and/or what tracking codes they are.

I’m sure you’re aware that affiliates will have many links, and we’re not easily able to confirm that we’ve hit them all (even if we think that we have) so a daily report that showed them dwindling (or hopefully zero) in the affiliate system would be a big help.

Just noticed this part of it. Can I get clarification of this. Does this mean that I don’t need to go and grab Danish, Swedish..etc…etc creative and geo-target using my ad serving software.

Can I just show the ‘English’ creative and you’ll geo-target for me?

If so, fantastic and a great time saver.

Btw I think I know the answer to this but do Playtechs generally not have download links? Wouldn’t that help with conversions? And is there any chance you might add flash games that could be embedded on our sites. That would be really cool since there’s only one other site for Playtech flash games which I don’t particularly like.

The format of tracking URL has recently changed, and now it works with geo-targeting. That means that if you use a text link with a tracker associated with German language but this is viewed from someone in the UK he will be redirect to the UK version.

Have a look at the sports, casino and bingo banners. You see that if you use our hosted creative gallery by grabbing the banner code and pasting in the html the right banner will show with the right currency (and offer for sports).

For banners you still need to use the language tracker to grab the correct language banner.

If you use only the English tracker to grab banners and use our hosted creative gallery code to paste in your html, then only English banners will show, although the most appropriate currency (and offer for sport) will display…

Surely direct download links do help, that is in the development pipe.
For flash games embedded in your site this is indeed a great idea but has not been spec’d out yet. I’ll make sure to try and include this on our dev road map.

There won’t be any online reports, but shortly before January 19th we’ll pull on our side a report and from there we’ll do our best to contact all individual affiliates.
