April 1, 2006 at 4:18 pm #687592AnonymousInactiveYes, I’ve been very happy with this myself.
Also felt great not to sweat it at the end of the month.
April 2, 2006 at 2:27 pm #687630AnonymousInactivewhy i have over $500 wagered from one player whilest my earned profit is $5?
April 2, 2006 at 4:15 pm #687643AnonymousInactiveHave you been reading your emails and the other threads in this folder, holka? The payment system is now based on the amount wagered instead of the amount lost by the player. Bottome line: we get roughly 1% of everything wagered. So if your player bets $500 on black, you get $5 regardless of whether the ball lands on black or red (or green).
April 2, 2006 at 4:42 pm #687647AnonymousInactiveThis has also nothing to do with deposits – it’s wagering.
I can deposit $5 and play slots for an hour winnng and losing and wager $500, and you get the 5 bucks whether I walk away a winner or a loser.
The $5 are yours because I wagered 500, not because I deposited or lost them.
April 2, 2006 at 10:32 pm #687660AnonymousInactiveas casinos are known to loose the players money :shhh:
April 3, 2006 at 11:47 pm #687759AnonymousInactiveIt might seem a little difficult to understand at first, however …
Players do loose at casinos and when they do, we know from the PWC reports, that they wager that much money X amount of times on the average. So by getting a % of the wagering, you’re still getting a 35% of the profit, so that hasn’t changed … it’s just based on a different metric.
Players also win at casino’s … and when that happens other programs will count that against your earnings … our group is large enough now that we can offer a program that pays affiliates even when their players win. In order to do this the model can’t be based on wins and losses (obviously) … so we looked to the real world … and Vegas, for example, works on wagering … so a long story short is this model allowed us to pay affiliates even when winners win … and that means, on the average, a higher affiliate annual earnings.
April 4, 2006 at 12:39 am #687768AnonymousInactiveRyan,
Is there any way to make the number bigger in the new dashboard? I am finding it very hard to read.
2nd, where is the win or loss at each casino. I did not opt in for the new system, and I wanted to stay with the old system. It appears that it is giving me stats for the new system.

Yes, I can make the stats larger … but consider:
There are two dashboards, the main dashboard – which I think you mean, but I just want to confirm?? and the ‘player dashboard’ …
find them both hard to read? Any other aff’s having the issue? the only reason I ask is because I designed the page in a relative manner. What does that mean? It means the fonts are sized with the ’em’ suffix and that means that the whole page will resize to scale. [technically speaking the fonts are relative to the parent object and inheriet the parents size attribs]
So if you Ctrl-+ (firefox shortcut) or View->Text Size->Larger (MSIE) [you can increase the size of _everything_] … which might suit you just fine without affecting the rest of us.
Ugh … just tested it in MSIE … can’t stupid MS build anything to spec… *grumble* … ok, so MSIE doesn’t let you resize everything, but firefox does behave as expected.
Anyway, try that … and if it doens’t suit your fancy … I’ll increase the font size for everybody.
[edit: another shortcut for those who like to play …
to rescale the page with a smaller or larger font size you can hold control on the keyboard and scroll the middle mouse wheel up and down.
MSIE seems a bit random in it’s choices of what to resize, but firefox does it all correctly …
end edit]
April 5, 2006 at 3:42 pm #687960AnonymousInactiveThanks Ryan, that worked great in IE. I had trouble in the past at CR using Firefox but I will switch back and let you know if I still have any Firefox issues.

It actually averages out pretty much at 35% anyway. Only difference there is that now you are not affected by winners.
I know the math is a bit harder to understand, and I had to have it explained to me too.
All of Vegas operates on this same principle.
My results rock. Once Fortune has their issues fixed, I am thinking of switching to this system there also.

As you watch your income throughout the month, it never drops; it only goes up, up, up. -
