    Hi All,

I have started to roll out a new creatives system. Currently, it just handles banners, but eventually it will handle emails, adbursts, flash banners, all our creatives.

At first glance you might not notice a major difference as the goal is the same – show you the banners :) However, under the hood you’ll notice the page load in a fraction of the time for a whole host a reasons [techobabble] I won’t go into. The bottom line being a better/easier/faster way to get what you want out of our banner/creatives farm.

To that end, I have also created a relatively simple creatives search engine. It lets you:

    1. enter a keyword string to search against filenames for

    2. the casino property [optional]

    3. select the language (4 to choose from) [optional]

    4. select the currency (9 to choose from) [optional]

    5. the width and height [optional]

FYI: The majority of our creatives are USD/English, but we’re always adding more creatives of other sorts – especially moving forward, i.e. new promo’s.

Finally, I’ve made the affiliate login a bit more intelligent. The main feature being that if you’re not logged in, but try to access a page it will redirect to the login page to request your user/pass (as it always did), but now it remembers where you were trying to access and upon successful authentication will send you back to the page you were actually looking for.

So, for example – You want to show a fellow affiliate or partner some specific creatives…

    1. you login to the aff site
    2. say you need banners for the “CC Free Play” promo, but only in GBP currency.

you search for the string ‘free-play’, set the currency to GBP and search.

    3. you get the search results.

    4. you copy and paste the whole url to a friend/colleage (because you simply want them to see the same thing you are looking at)

    5. that user clicks the link, they’re not logged in so it hits the login page, then once they submit it’ll take ’em to the page you sent them.

Maybe nobody cares about this, but it was driving me up the frickin’ wall.

Also … I’ll create a list of pre-defined searches so you can just select ‘cc free play’ promo from a list and it’ll know what to search for … that’s probably a couple weeks away because now it’s time to get the new stats system rolled out … :happydanc

Sounds great – and what would be nice to seach for too is game type – like slots, Blackjack, Video Poker etc.

    Hi Dom/All,

Thankfully the filenames usually have the gametype in them if applicable… meaning you can use the new search functionality to get what you need :)

    Search Creatives for: ‘slots’
    http://www.rewardsaffiliates.com/members/affiliate/creatives.asp?kwp=slots&mode=search&lang=0&curr=0

    Search Creatives for: ‘blackjack’
    http://www.rewardsaffiliates.com/members/affiliate/creatives.asp?kwp=blackjack&mode=search&lang=0&curr=0

You can just click the links directly now :woohoo:

    Ryan,

You’ve got a typo in your new search function. In the pull down for casinos it reads “Casino Kindom

It affects searching for creatives for them.

    Hi All,

We’ve just added the preset searches to the new creatives engine.

So you can now do the usual keyword, casino, currency, etc search like you’re used to …

    OR

… you can just select a preset search from the drop down menu shown here:

    keyword-search-menu.gif

If you make a selection from the ‘Pre-Set Searches’ drop down menu, it will override any other options you submit (like keyword and casino).

However, once you select a preset search … then submit … it will automatically fill in the keywords and the casino and show you the results… Now if you want to further refine the search just leave the preset downdown box alone and use the normal form input fields to modify the search.

and finally, if you don’t want to use the pre-set search box … just leave it on the default “Enter your keyword OR select one of thes…” … and it will ignore that field :)
