You see you’re going on again with this name calling. Relax dude! It’s common practice to first put the affiliate account on hold and then email the affiliate because the email address on file may be old. So this way at least the affiliate will email back.

I have probably sent players to 200+ affiliate programs in over 8 years and I have yet to experience this myself. Maybe it is a common practice by you. Why you would play hardball like this with an affiliate who, by his own admission, does not send you many players is beyond me.

OK, i’m going to stop the name calling. it’s not helping, but it has gotten my anger out.

henry – you were told in my 2nd reply that i would give you coverage, but the amount would be based on performance.

the 1000 i’ve made in a lifetime from Vegas Aff, won’t cover my flight to vegas in sept, so you have no leverage.

i’ve never been treated as rudely by anyone in this industry, nor have i ever been this angry before. But you really blew it, as you are hearing now.

I bet your boss isn’t going to come on here and tell everyone “give us prominent coverage or we’ll close your account”

I happen to mainly report MGS casinos and was actually ready to put you back up, because you had tracked the player from so far bak. But you blew it.

I asked him to put links up and he didn’t. Instead he got on his high horse. What can you do. It’s not like he didn’t have a choice. He obviously stopped promoting the casinos for whatever reason and now he’s out of pocket. Unfortunate but true.

Mate the way I see it that you blew it. You are the one that lost money. You are the one that lost your temper first and there is no one to blame but yourself. However if you want reconcile I open to it and as I said earlier willing to work for mutual benefit.

I don’t believe what I am reading here!

Henry, I don’t know how old you are, but I am likely old enough to be your mother and you deserve a good spanking and attitude adjustment. ale.gif

Don’t you have some sort of support who will tell you who is who and what is what around here?

I am seriously disturbed about what is going on at Vegas Aff now! Maybe should pull all my links before someone decides to close my account – and I lose the players I have playing there.

What is this nonsense about closing accounts? Do we or do we not have players for life?

And what do you think you are doing, giving out Fred’s entire name in public? Fred is an integral part of our community, I am very disturbed at your treatment of him.

    Maybe I’m next?

I am seriously upset about your general attitude towards affiliates.

    Henry,
No established affiliates ( such as Fred ) would put you in prime position until the program proves itself the them. Not all casinos will perform on all sites. So asking nicely for more exposure would have been more acceptable response. You came in demanding right away or else, instead of asking if there was a way you guys to work together.

This whole situation really bothers me since I have recommended Vegas Affiliates to other affiliates.

    Amen, Dom!

Hopefully he will learn from this and shape up. I also have serious concerns about this program now as well. We were just finally starting to give these casinos a real push but it is going to stop dead in its tracks if this guy does not first apologize to AmCan and clear all the issues regarding life of the account payments ASAP!

Nitpicking on T&C, shutting down accounts, and threatening not to pay life of the account makes my face look like this: :madat: :madat: :madat:

Yeah I was angry and put his name on the board after he went a published the emails. Shouldn’t have done it.
Yes players are for life but you also need to link to us from somewhere. You can’t just stop linking for a year! His account was closed only after he started flaming. Before that it was suspended, which is not the same a closed.

Suspended means that he can not log in and get banner codes? If so, then how did you expect him to put you back up. Now sometimes affiliates will not actively promote a group for awhile do to non performance and then decide they will give it another try. Didn’t you just make this harder to do?

That’s hard to believe as all emails were replied within the next business day. I still have contacts at Canbet so why don’t you send me your details and I’ll help you out with any queries you may have with CommissionKing.

No Henry they weren’t. It took me over a month to get Adam Smith’s email address and I had to go to the big man in Corporate for that. Dealing with Adam has always been a pleasure and on most occassions I recieved a reply within 15 minutes. The one time I didn’t Adam was in Austria without his laptop and I tried to contact you to resolve a player issue. You never responded. However, when Adam finally made it back to his office he resolved the issue and contacted me.

Thanks for the offer; but, I’ve got that covered.

After what he’s been calling me in public I can’t apologies. He’s done much worse here than I have. Yes commissions are for life that’s our end of the deal. Affiliates will have to link to us from somewhere though, otherwise with one account it might be himself playing. Both parties will have to stick to the rules and fair play.

Well Henry, you stepped in it!

You thought you were dealing with a non producing affiliate and treated him like s#!t. We don’t like it when ANY affiliate is treated like that.

Then you made a big mistake. You should have noted that Fred has been around for a long time. He answered your mails, he offered to give you a spot. If he wasn’t producing he wouldn’t be around this long and responding to you! DUH!

And you don’t tell affiliates what to do. We don’t like that. If you want exposure you ask for it. Nicely. Friendly like. You know, with a little courtesy and respect.

On my site you now have basic, plain text link listings. Go look at my stats. Then go cry because you can see what you would be getting if I did give you even one good spot.

Which isn’t going to happen. I should be treating managers who treat everyone well a lot better. I think I’ll go and give a nice spot to Roo.

Considering that you are the one that started everything by trying to pull some shady hardball tactics, you should apologize. Everything you have done has pissed off someone here, whether it was your time at another program, your emails to AmCan, and your actions of suspending and shutting down an affiliate account with active players. If you can’t be man enough to apologize then you probably don’t have the people skills to be in this line of work.

I would guess that AmCan might remove the things that he said about your personally if you had one ounce of humility. Until that day, you will probably not find too many friendly people here.

Either grow up or you will get :flush: by many of us!

I think you have to realize that for affiliates there are hundreds of affiliate programs to choose from, including at least 100 microgaming casinos to promote.

Affiliates usualy give better exposure to the best converting and player retaining casinos. If an affiliate reduces the exposure it gives to a certain casino it’s because the casino or affiliate program is not pulling its weight. Or else the affiliate has a better deal with a different affiliate network such as higher commission.

Most of the casino programs have ideal terms. Such as you get the player for life no matter how much new traffic is sent.

You can then understand the gut reaction when a program contacts an affiliate with the ‘promote us or else’ threats. Usualy the affiliate has so little invested in that program that they would prefer never again to deal with the program versus having the potential of future players being stolen.

All it takes is a whale to earn a lot of money, I would therefore prefer to have a tiny link on someones website or the opportunity of an affiliate choosing to promote them later on versus alienating that same affiliate.

That said I have earned decent money with Vegas Affiliates. I realize that a lot of anger and resentment is going both ways and I hope that things can amicably end. I recommend that Amcan’s affiliate account be reopened and that the terms and conditions be reviewed concerning closing affiliate accounts.

I cant imagine inactive accounts take that much room in the database that it is stored in.

This is amazing! Vegas Affiliates has been going down hill for a long time now. I had thought new management would turn it around, but that doesnt seem to be the case!

Someone in your position can not conduct themselves in this manner, at least not if you wish to remain around and prospering.
