I find this all interesting, but a bit odd, since Las Vegas (Reid in particular), has always been very brick-and-mortar-casino biased. My guess is that Las Vegas wants to enter the “online” industry in full force. What is odd is that the bill will permit the offshore entities to continue to exist. This is a major paradigm shift from what we’ve seen and heard before. Maybe there is a realization that they will not be able to shut these offshore entities out, so we might as well embrace them, and collect some revenue in the process. It’s all positive, as far as we’re concerned, and this should be real interesting.
