Just a quick update from me. I have managed to get Neteller to reverse my wire transfer request and hence the money is back in my account.
Now here’s the annoying part. They claim that my bank rejected the wire which is total nonsense as I had been paid in that way for the last 18 months.
I have re-issued a small wire transfer to see what happens. In the meantime I will wear down the footpath to the ATM’s in my area.
This is all too annoying.
February 12, 2007 at 10:30 pm #727052AnonymousInactiveOK… Well here is my update… I got the following email from Neteller today… I explains it all:
Dear NETELLER Member,
Your Member Wire requested on Jan-16-07 was returned to us. Due to recent legislative changes, NETELLER can no longer process USD/AUD bank wire withdrawals.
We remain committed to providing you with the following withdrawal options:
NETELLER can re-issue you a bank wire in Euro or GBP with a foreign exchange fee (1.9% + daily rate). Please note the funds will be converted back to your bank account currency when they are received by your bank. Please enquire with your bank about any additional fees.
We can adjust the funds back into your NETELLER account and you can use your NETELLER Card for withdrawal. By certifying your bank account, we can give you a NETELLER Card which you can use to withdraw funds from ATMs anywhere in the world. To certify your bank account, we require a utility bill within the last three months and photo ID (a copy of your driver’s license or passport).
You may contact us at your convenience to make arrangements for your withdrawal. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused you and thank you for your patience and understanding. To learn more about the impacts of the US legislation, visit our Business Update page.
Thank you for choosing NETELLER.

February 14, 2007 at 2:06 pm #727249AnonymousInactiveJust thought I would post an update for any Canadians worried about Neteller. I had an affiliate payment made from Poker.com into my player account last week. Poker.com offers ‘instant’ withdrawels to Neteller (ie: about 4 hours normally). I withdrew to Neteller, took about 5 hours. From Neteller, I made an EFT to my bank account on Sunday. I received it early this morning. So, in summary, things appear to be working as normal at the moment.

What funds is your Neteller account based?
Is your account based in $CDN funds to a $CDN bank?I have been waiting forever to get an EFT from my $US Neteller account converted to $CDN to my $CDN bank account. Neteller says “no worries”, etc. etc. when contacting them via chat & phone but 2-3 weeks for an EFT left in “pending”…there are certainly issues there.

Yes, it’s $CDN, to a Canadian bank. I should have clarified. Apparently all those times getting screwed on the exchange rate when withdrawing/depositing from poker rooms were worth it.
February 15, 2007 at 7:26 pm #727462AnonymousInactiveI’m in the UK and I’ve been getting the same message for days:

Service Currently UnavailableFebruary 15, 2007 at 8:46 pm #727478AnonymousInactiveI’m still waiting for neteller to credit me with the money that they removed from my account when I asked for a wire transfer in mid January. I wish memberwire would at least answer their emails. Plus I’m also getting the same message “NETELLER Card Balance: Service Currently Unavailable”.
Great Service !!! With the way things are going, I wonder how long neteller will be around for :tooconfus

even this message still shows in netllerFebruary 16, 2007 at 12:16 am #727502AnonymousInactiveI also have that message: service currently unavailable. I did try to fund my card and have just withdrawn money without problems.
I saw that message at my account many times in the past, but I was always able to withdraw funds. I think that never worked very well.
The most important is in my pocket anyway!
February 17, 2007 at 8:12 am #727653AnonymousInactiveI finally got my money back. Wooo hooo !!!!!!!!!!
