The problem with wire transfers has to do with the denomination of your account. If you have an account in USD, Neteller need to use a US bank as intermediate bank, and that would be a problem. If you have an account on other currency, then you’ll be fine.
For Europeans the best is to have an account in EUR since both your Neteller and bank accounts are in the same currency. There’s no need for intermediate bank, and no problem should occur.
January 31, 2007 at 9:24 am #725063AnonymousInactiveOk so today I spoke to Neteller again.
I asked about rumors that Neteller will stop doing wire transfers to non US countries and was told that is not true. I was told that the problems with non US wire transfers is unrelated to the US issues, which I find hard to believe.
The agent could give me no idea how long the transfer will still take to hit my account and even suggested that I cancel the transaction and ask for a Fedex check. Its unbelievable, money taken from my accoutn sitting in space for over 2 weeks now and the bank won’t tell me how long before I get it!
He did however say that they were told that this issue will be sorted out for non US account holders “in due course” so I will give it another few days.
January 31, 2007 at 9:57 am #725065AnonymousInactiveIf neteller is unable to wire transfer, then why don’t they put the money back into our accounts so we can access the money via the Neteller card.
If neteller is able to wire transfer and the money has been sent, then why hasn’t it reached our bank accounts yet?
Which one is it?

Makes me sick seeing people on meister complain that they cant get their last $15 out. What the hell would they do if they had 50k pending?
If they dont release the money real soon they are going to prove to me that they are not to be trusted. Those across the seas should be watching whats happening to our monies, if they can screw us they can screw you too.
February 1, 2007 at 3:21 am #725212AnonymousInactiveYes, this is getting really ridiculous. Why the **** did they lock the withdrawals like this, anyway? I can see locking deposits to online gambling merchants, but why can’t I withdraw money — especially peer to peer money?
In London, someone told me that we could be waiting for up to 8 weeks. That’s insane! sneaky2.gi
February 1, 2007 at 3:56 am #725217AnonymousInactiveAn 8 week waiting period doesn’t seem as bad as what gambling911.com is reporting today… a possible waiting period of 6 months??? Are they really waiting to see what happens with the trial of the 2 neteller founders, because the trial could drag on for years. I will continue waiting for my wire to arrive and will keep asking them about it, but from now on, I will change all my payment preferences to check. I don’t care how many checks I get, or how long I have to wait in the bank queues, or for the checks to clear … At least, I WILL receive my money.
February 1, 2007 at 5:40 pm #725319AnonymousInactiveNeteller initiated today a Bank Transfer in Euros. they said in an email
Quote:Your funds are in the process of being sent to your bank account.hope it arrives soon, i will let you know *hopefully*
February 1, 2007 at 5:47 pm #725320AnonymousInactiveNETELLER Member FAQs
How can I withdraw funds from my NETELLER account?
As a top priority, we are working to resolve all withdrawal issues, but in the meantime we continue to maintain these funds in trust on your behalf. Please check this page regularly for more updates.
…
Why can’t I use my NETELLER Card anymore?
The NETELLER Card is not available as a withdrawal option at this time.
…
Does this change affect non-US members?
Yes. NETELLER is currently unable to transact with USD bank accounts, regardless of the location of the member. Please contact us to learn more.
Looks like there is no way how to withdraw the money even for the non-us members:banger:
February 1, 2007 at 10:36 pm #725365AnonymousInactiveWhy is it posible to withdraw the money through the neteller card, but not through a wire transfer? The account is still in USD and is coming from the same account and place.

I think today you would find that you can no longer do anything with your money if your in the USA.
February 2, 2007 at 12:31 am #725382AnonymousInactiveI’m in Australia. I requested a wire transfer for my Neteller balance right when the news broke about the founders arrests about 3 weeks ago. I got an email the next day saying the wire had been sent – funds converted from USD to AUD.
3 weeks later – nothing – not even replying to emails.
So I guess that since my request is right at the front of the queue (wishful thinking from me), they haven’t even got around to sending the wire yet.
This is worrying, of course, for all of us non US guys… but I guess it’s better than having our funds 100% frozen.
February 2, 2007 at 12:55 am #725388AnonymousInactive3 weeks? Thats disgusting!!! Well at first they told me to allow 10-15 business days for the funds to arrive, THEN they said they are unable to wire transfer to Australia, THEN they asked me to send an email to memberwire, and THEN I was told that they are “investigating” where the money is… So then I went and changed my payment preferences to check instead of neteller.
February 2, 2007 at 12:59 am #725390AnonymousInactiveI should add that I have spoken with them on the phone and over chat in the last couple of days and they said the wire hasn’t been sent, but it will be sent “shortly”… They couldn’t tell me what “shortly” meant.
Argh!!!
February 2, 2007 at 1:01 am #725393AnonymousInactiveI think users with Eur accounts don’t have problems. The problem is related to US users and USD accounts.
I had no problems using my card with an account in Euro. I don’t know about wires since the last one was sometime ago.
But I think that no problem should occur because a transfer in EUR to a EUR denominated bank account in Europe does not have anything to do with US or US laws and is totally governed within European laws.
February 2, 2007 at 3:04 pm #725480gamesdexMemberI have a UK account in GBP. I had requested a couple of withdrawals on 21/22 January and hadn’t received anything. Spoke to Neteller today and they said that there was a delay but transfers were processed a couple of days ago so should be in the account in a couple days.
