http://www.gambling911.com/Neteller-Canada-Turkey-032607.htmlMarch 26, 2007 at 6:49 pm #731948AnonymousInactiveThis is depressing but was expected considering our government is even more probush since the conservatives are in power.
March 26, 2007 at 8:18 pm #731958biggygMemberI am not surprised at all.Next thing will be the may/June announcement they are bankrupt.
March 27, 2007 at 12:28 am #731998AnonymousInactiveIf I had money in Neteller (and I do, but I am in the USA), I would get it out! I would have to think they will run out cash flow soon. Operating expenses climbing sky high, and profits going down, down down…
March 27, 2007 at 5:16 am #732007AnonymousInactiveCan anyone tell me why processors and gambling programs are getting out of Canada in addition to the US? I know why the US, but I don’t understand Canada.
March 27, 2007 at 5:52 am #732009biggygMemberIt has to do with a section of the RCMP Criminal Act , if the sever or the processor is located in Canada ,knowingly takes a gambling bet and player is also in canada it is like running an illegal gambling house.I cant remember they exact wording but my lawyer made me aware of this last year in August .He also said for me to deal with MG casinos was a ‘gray area’ I choose to be color blind on that issue though lol.Not surprised by this and I will not even be surprised if alot of money options soon shut down for us with the banks in Canada.
March 27, 2007 at 4:21 pm #732069AnonymousInactiveFrom what my lawyer told me, running/online casino in canada, would be a felony for: operating a gaming house. His advice
1. Don’t solicit Canadians to gamble, then the authorities have no right to investigate you.
2. Keep servers and operations outside Canada
3. Only work with Operators that are licensed to operate in the jurisdiction that the casino is in.I’ve pretty much followed that.
It was my impression that it was always as illegal or even more illegal in Canada than the US. It’s just that Canada isn’t out to fill it’s prisons, as the US is…. BUT there is big scandal with the Ontario Lottery (the lottery corp runs casinos too), so no doubt they’ll start complaining about online gambling to shift the focus away from their own stupidity.
March 28, 2007 at 1:37 am #732197biggygMemberJust a friendly reminder to fellow canadians ,Remember USA were told their

March 28, 2007 at 4:38 pm #732292biggygMemberWe have a few options but it all leads to money going into our bank accounts
March 29, 2007 at 2:34 am #732384AnonymousInactiveVery sad, now i have to get ride off my gambling sites. after USA Stop taking player, my revenue got down 50%. now if canadian also stop taking neteller.
