Hi.. I woke up to some great news today! My player won the Aztec Riches progressive slot at CWC.. So I feel great about it. CWC informed me that it doesnt affect my account at all.. no negative balance.
After speaking to my good friends Paul at superior share and jeff at bcp.. they both told me I should ask to see the tc’s at club world. Jeff’s initial response was that it was like I won the jackpot.. here is how the conversation went down:
[12:22:12 PM] ME: hey did you hear the Aztec Riches progressive was won at CWC?
[12:22:17 PM] ME: was my player…
[12:22:22 PM] ME: 1.4 mil
[12:22:36 PM] jeff: no way!!!!!!!!!!!
[12:22:38 PM] ME: yup
[12:22:48 PM] jeff: thats like winning the lotto for you
[12:22:58 PM] ME: well they said I dont get anything from it
[12:23:05 PM] ME: should I?
[12:23:45 PM] jeff: well here if you had a player win a 100K for example…it might wipe out your months commisions…but you’d get % of those loses…..
[12:24:05 PM] jeff: now maybe they have something in there tc’s to protect from jackpots…..just ask them
[12:25:03 PM] ME: sorry Im not sure I understand
[12:25:20 PM] jeff: ok
[12:25:36 PM] jeff: here if you have a player win 100K
[12:25:47 PM] jeff: and your commissions were supposed to be 20K
[12:25:56 PM] jeff: you would get wiped out for that month
[12:25:58 PM] jeff: however
[12:25:59 PM] ME: right
[12:26:01 PM] ME: ok
[12:26:28 PM] jeff: the following month the player might reverse 50K of the 100K and you’d get rev share like it were a deposit
[12:27:04 PM] jeff: now for a million dollar jackpot…..that might be differesnt…just ask to see the tc’s
[12:27:30 PM] ME: ok thanks for the tip.. Ill ask to see the tc’s now
[12:28:15 PM] jeff: theoritcally you should get something if the player reverses some or all of that money
[12:28:36 PM] ME: meaning that it deposits into their casino account?
[12:29:31 PM] jeff: meaning if a player wins 100K and then reverses 25K back into there account and go on to lose it over that month
[12:29:43 PM] jeff: you should get a rev share on those loses
[12:29:52 PM] jeff: at least here you would
[12:30:13 PM] jeff: if the palyer cashes it all out…you get ZERO
[12:30:51 PM] ME: ahh I see.. ok I asked to see the tc’s
[12:30:55 PM] ME: thanks a lot for the tip
[12:31:09 PM] jeff: no pI have no experience dealing with this kind of thing, to be honest I was just very proud that it was my player, and glad that it wont put me in the red. But after speaking to these guys Im wondering if any of the guys here might have some advice on how I should deal with this situation.. I definitely want to make sure any funds deposited into the players account are commissionable
Thanks in advance for any advice..

However if this player withdaws like 1,3 million and leaves about 100k in his account to play with… You should be one happy camper, since you should recieve commission on the losses he makes..
One should always be happy with a jackpot winner.. Most of the times it’s good for the player, the affiliate and the casino.. so everybody is happy..

Yes thats what I was told.. very cool! It would sure hurt to have a win of 1,400,000 that put my account in the red.. especially with a negative balance carryover.. it would definitely be time to stop promoting CWC lol..
So Martyn told me that he isnt sure how it works exactly and will need to get back to me, on whether any balance remaining in her account is commissionable if she plays through it. Apparently they had given her $25k immediately from it.. yet I didnt see any deposit, or any change in the “credits”. He said that they will be paying her a fixed amount weekly, which is cool.. but Id sure like to see her playing with some of it.. we all love those whales

Thanks Dominique!! Im really happy for her.. I cant wait until all is formalized so that I can have some custom banners made, and put it all over my websites how she came from me
It is really nice to see a millionaire made through my website – this was a first for me
Im really hoping that Ill see a nice big deposit in my affiliate account since they arent paying her out all at once though..

September 23, 2009 at 4:23 pm #804299volonetMemberVery cool hopefully everything works out in your favor. The way most affiliate programs are set up with no negative carryover, one would assume you should get commisions from any losses of the win from here on out, but you just never know.

In the bingo world – the affiliate tends to get the short end of the stick. I have had a handful of winners in the 20 to 70k range and the programs now limit the w/d to a certain amount / month so I start each month with -2 to -5k revenue. I guess the programs have figured out a way to get us to help pay for the losses. I honestly have a few programs right now where I’m waiting for some jackpot payouts to finish before the sites become profitable for me again.
October 21, 2009 at 9:49 am #805051FelixtheCatMemberCongrats on that success!
So this is an important matter. I think (I am sure actually) that this progressive jackpot hit should NEVER result in any negative for you as the progressives are already accounted for. This is what I was told, and it makes sense. If it were an in-house jackpot then it’d be a different story but a progressive should not affect you in a negative way. Can only be good for you in case he or she continues to wager with his winnings.
What bugs me though is that things like that are never fully confirmed by the programs. I know because I asked many and got various different responses.

Thanks!! I agree, it is a grey area for sure. For example, although it didnt affect me negativity, I did not see any big deposit into the players account via my affiliate account. I did see that the player spent around $35k last month, and around another $15k this month. Also noticed last month a $100,000 withdraw in stats.
Around mid month this month, I asked Martyn at CWC how everything was going with the player, since I seen 0 (big)deposits, and one 100,000 withdraw (which didnt seem to affect me even though it put the numbers for credits way in the red).. then nothing, since Martyn told me that the player would be paid in weekly installments, I thought it odd I didnt see any more withdraw activity. But when asked last week, I was told that the player had been paid out. Yet last months $35k and this months $10k I can still see the wagering, and still getting credited commissions, but I cant see how much the player has in her account out of the $1.4M, and the withdraw activity stopped at $100k at the end of last month.
So this is definitely something that Im not totally comfortable with.. Im very fortunate to have my player win so big, and Im proud of that since it is so rare.. also feels great to make a millionaire, but when the numbers dont add up and are hidden, I cant help but to wonder if they should be a lot better than $45k commissionable.

October 23, 2009 at 5:04 pm #805194AnonymousInactiveWowzers! This i bloody huge – So am I right in thinking if the player uses a proportion of this win to play with now you will earn off that play? So if he spanks lots of it you could be laughing!
December 10, 2009 at 1:21 pm #806467AnonymousInactiveYep, it’s good news all around. Some casinos and poker rooms give the webmaster a small chunk of change, when their player hits a jackpot, double check!
January 13, 2010 at 10:38 am #807378burundiMemberoh yeah, it turned out to be an excellent thing all around. No complaints whatsoever
January 26, 2010 at 1:00 pm #807804FussballGottMemberHow cool!
Whatever happens… Be glad it won`t put you in the minus.. you could have closed the affiliate account then IMO.
