Hi all,
Hoping for feedback on my site. Presentation, look, strength of message, etc.
http://www.fulltiltpayback.com
It’s my very first leap into affiliate marketing. Any suggestions and wisdom appreciated.
Regards,
Chris

it’s a grey area. last time I checked, TOS state that an affiliate can not ‘make arragements to split the affiliate fee with players’ or words to that affect..
but when I approached the affiliate team and laid out my plans to offer rakeback, to focus on the specific group of players who are a) playing at high volume and b)aware of, and expecting of rakeback, they gave me the go-ahead and raised my commission bracket in order to do it. So they ‘allow’ it But they don’t want the hassles associated with it (namely, affiliates stealing existing players) and they don’t take any responsibility for affiliates honoring of the agreements.
I know there’s a lot of anti-rakeback sentiment in the rakeback community and I don’t want to stir the pot too much. I definitely don’t want to actively steal players. When I’m approached by players who have existing FTP accounts, my response is basically: “For as long as your account is open, we can’t offer you a rakeback plan”.
But I’m a poker player, I read the forums, and from a player’s point of view, rakeback is a good thing. I’m willing to take a cut in pay as an affiliate, in order to attract bigger, smarter players. I’ll take 1 high roller over 50 kids making a min. deposit any day. If I get 10-20 quality signups (my goal), it won’t negatively affect the rest of the affiliate community.
I’ve learned a ton from this forum just lurking. Thanks for any feedback and advice about the site.
