Just tried to generate a MU Casino link, selecting casino text link and it gave me:
http://banner.mucasino.co.uk/cgi-bin/redir.cgi?id=N&member=fictionnet&profile=mucaslinkYes, there’s a link from that landing page to the casino… but it’s hardly a casino landing page, is it?
January 5, 2007 at 8:22 am #721032AnonymousInactiveIn addition to the above, there’s a LOT of non-casino betting options (ie. sports) on that landing page. Do we affiliate get the same commission % deal regardless of what the wagering is on?
January 5, 2007 at 9:25 am #721035AnonymousInactiveMy generated Casino link worked …
(see Manchester United Casino )But my poker link failed for a while … however it’s working now … ( see Manchester United Poker )
sigh.gif(I think that someone has been working on these overnight)
:huh2:January 5, 2007 at 9:46 am #721036AnonymousInactiveHmm. I’ll try again.
I hate the way Betfred casinos try to install activex stuff just for visiting – really puts visitors off.
January 5, 2007 at 10:03 am #721037AnonymousInactiveHello all,
Thanks for spotting this. It seems that IT have altered the URL that the affiliate links were using hence the reason they were going to the sports page. This was not communicated to me but this should now have been rectified.
This is me kicking the peupty out of our IT guys > :banger:
There was a lot of testing done on these links prior to launch, we do not ever launch anything without knowing that tracking and redirects are all correct. The main thing is even though the links were temporarily going to the sports page any sign ups would have been tracked.
I am sorry if this has caused any inconvenience and if you spot anything else please let me know.
On the active x point, this is also something I have raised with IT and will hopefully resolve.
All the best,
Martyn
January 5, 2007 at 10:23 am #721038AnonymousInactiveThanks for the info, Martyn.
What happens if someone visits the sports games and bets? How is commission calculated?
January 5, 2007 at 11:03 am #721041AnonymousInactiveCurrently it works the same as the Betfred affiliate program, you will need to sign up to the sports program in order to track sports sales as the two are seperate.
This is not ideal I know but we are in the process of sorting out a new affiliate platform which will incorporate all our offerings under one roof. One login and one place to get all our available creative. I would estimate that the new program will be live within 4 months?
The Man United sports betting banners and links are not yet live but will be shortly on our sports affiliate program.
Cheers,
January 5, 2007 at 8:52 pm #721131AnonymousInactiveSo if we send visitors to the casino but they instead click the sports tab which you also add to the page… and they blow a fortune on the sports… we get nothing?
January 8, 2007 at 9:15 am #721447AnonymousInactiveCurrently this is the case yes.
This is where the new program will kick in.
January 11, 2007 at 11:18 pm #722209AnonymousInactiveCan’t see me sending you many visitors then if they can blow a fortune and us not see a penny out of it.
What’s the US-accepted (or not) status of the casino?

According to our gambling gal Elle it’s NO to US players – and she’s pretty switched on …
http://www.goonersguide.com/casino_betfred.htmlJanuary 12, 2007 at 9:05 am #722246AnonymousInactiveSpot on Gooner! Unfortunately we took the decision around about September 2006 to ban all US players and punters.
