Apparently, the hottest new Search Engine to hit the scene is the “beloved” DuckDuckGo.com.

Is it a Google threat? Although DuckDuckGo is a relatively new search engine, their big selling point & attractive feature is making user privacy the priority. (Think of Google in the good old days…)

    DuckDuckGo Vs. Google for Affiliates

So… the cool thing about this for our industry is that it’s looking pretty promising for SEO. Since DuckDuckGo isn’t weighed down by advertising, search results are a lot easier to digest for consumers… Therefore, affiliates that are having a hard time competing on Google may be able to have a lot more success on DuckDuckGo.

So… what do you think? Would you be willing to give DuckDuckGo a try?

No way… So great to hear positive feedback.

When you say that you’ve been using DuckDuckGo, are you referring to ramping up your SEO Strategy/practices specifically for this engine? Let me know… Curious for some details ;)

I never knew about it until now.

I like the compitition for google.
But you know, I kind of miss the ads :)
    It looks kind of plain.

I would love nothing more than Google to have a competitor but how realistic is it? Google is[FONT=arial, sans-serif] synonymous with search. People don’t say search it, they say google it. Much like years ago when we said xerox it rather than copy it.

I had never heard of it either … must totally be out of the loop or its nothing to worry about just yet? Do they have totally independant serps or do they compile them from others?
