    Skillarcade.com signs up Peak Entertainment

CYOP Systems International, a developer of online skill games behind Crediplay.com and Skillarcade.com, announced that it has reached a licensing agreement with Peak Entertainment whereby CYOP’s licensed software CrediPlay will be available through an affiliate program on http://www.4gambling.com and http://www.casinonews.org.

The company believes the agreement would help it to target online casino players in the US who are subject to restrictions on credit card usage. Currently, many US credit card companies like Visa, Mastercard do not allow the use of credit cards to fund Internet gambling activities by US citizens. However, this does not affect skill gaming claims CYOP. Its website http://www.skillarcade.com are able to process credit cards on its systems says the company.

Skillarcade.com, which is CYOP’s central games portal, is an online games destination where visitors can play popular skill-based games against other players and compete in tournaments to win real money prizes.

Technically, skill-based games are different from online casino games. Winning or losing is largely based on the individual player’s skill and knowledge, while most games of chance on the Internet are based on algorithms, which are based on chance or luck. Several sets of criteria are introduced that make video games on http://www.skillarcade.com, for example, competitive events played in tournaments or head to head, where skill, knowledge or a combination of both determines the winning outcome.

Patrick Smyth, President of CYOP, explains, “We have developed technology, which essentially combines online games of skill to a database platform that allows players to compete against each other for money. This technology also houses a transaction platform, not unlike a virtual bank, which allows players to deposit money using their credit cards, pay for the games and ask to withdraw any winnings instantly in real time. And because we are not coded as online gambling, we have the opportunity the fill the void being left by online casinos in North America.”

CYOP’s CrediPlay is a proprietary application, which is essentially an online transaction platform that is based on charging a Network Maintenance Fee or NMF for each game of skill played over the Internet, including puzzle/board/trivia/learning games.

I signed a contract with crediplay months ago, sent them all the art work they asked for, and never heard back.

Perhaps they are getting their act together now.
