Important announcement for affiliates
On 30 September 2006 the US Senate passed the SAFE Port Act which also contains a section referred to as the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 which has been signed into law by President Bush on Friday October 13th. The new act affects online payment transactions for games of chance, which have been deemed unlawful under US American law.PokerAffiliate.com – owned by bwin Interactive Entertainment AG that is publicly traded on the Vienna Stock Exchange regrets that the US government has taken this step which will make it virtually impossible for listed, strictly regulated and transparent operators to offer real money entertainment to US customers.
As such we have decided to comply with the new legislation and will no longer be able to accept any new US-resident customers for our real money gaming products. This will be implemented once the necessary technical adjustments have been performed. We will keep you informed about the exact date for when this will be fully implemented. This applies to all of our brands ñ PokerRoom.com, CasinoRoom.com, EuroPoker.com, HoldemPoker.com and eCardroom.com.
There will be no impact on non-US customers.

What does this mean for you as our affiliates?
US customers will no longer be able to play for Real Money at any of our gambling sites. As such, there will be no revenue shares paid out to new or existing players within the US and no Cost Per Acquisition paid out to any new US players. You can still continue to promote to non US-based customers and even if you are a US affiliate, the law applies to customers in the US and not affiliates. What will happen to affiliate earnings?
Your payouts up until October 16 have been paid out as usual. From now on, you will be paid out for all future non-US players only with your usual revenue share or CPA.

When the law changes, and you are able to accept US players again, are we going to get our players back?
