Here is the final agenda for the event, and it will be a super party!
In the afternoon of the 16th, as people arrive, there will be an informal voluntary gathering in the lobby of the Intercontinental. Stefano from Vegas Affiliates will be at hand to see that we have plenty to drink in the afternoon of the 16th in the lobby of the Intercontinental. I’m sure there will be others watching out for us there also.
Montreal is a beautiful romantic city and we shall experience some of it then. A mystery (and surprise!) benefactor will take care of affiliates that evening and it will be nice!!!!! Managers are invited to also attend, but not funded.
At 9 am on the 17th we will gather in the Salon Saint Laurent at the Intercontinental. Casino Coins has been kind enough to reserve this hall for us for all day. Yes, you will all be expected to be out of bed by then!!! The Professor from CAP (yes our Professor) is taking care of the morning goodies like coffee and juices and food.
We will spend the morning all getting to know each other – sort of like the speed dating phenomenon. By the time we go off for lunch, everyone there will have met everyone else.
Lunch is sponsored by Casino Rewards. Brent even extends his hospitality to the affiliate managers. Aff managers at large will be providing taxis to and from the Restaurant. We will all have a superb lunch at a very romantic, old time restaurant with a huge deck outside that is overgrown with enormous plants. They specialize in Crepes, and the place looks neat.
After lunch we will return to the Intercontinental for the afternoon. The gathering in the Salon Saint Laurent will be sort of informal. We will discuss various topics near and dear to the hearts of both affiliates and affiliate managers. There will be opportunities to pick each others brains. Some suggested topics include: Creatives, which work best and why; Contests and incentives for both affiliates and players, what works and what doesn’t; Stats, what are the most important components. I am open to any other topics – just tell me!
Frank from Focal Click is providing the afternoon refreshments in the conference room – including a ton of chocolates. We need to keep up our strength during these discussions!Following this we will all need a pick-me-up! Brian Cooke from Casino Profit Share is reserving a private bar for us to conclude the day’s activities. Again, Brian is generous enough to also include the other managers.
After this we will be splitting up in groups and going off to dinners. I am sure that all will be taken well care of.
During the entire event there will be managers ready to help out if anything is needed. It is the first event I have ever planned, and I went about it in an unconventional way. I am very grateful to those who will be ready to help out as we go, and also to the Professor who has been very helpful in arranging this.
Within the next few days I will compile a list of all the sponsoring affiliate programs. A big thank you to all of them. Now, the rest of the conference is GIGSE and not our own event anymore. There will be things to do throughout the day. In the evenings I assume that we will dine with our respective favorite managers – that is what I will do. There are usually all kinds of parties going on also.
Still, it may be a good idea to check with each other to make sure nobody is left out at any particular time.
You don’t have to be a member of GPWA or CAP to take part in this, but I would appreciate it if you could PM me so I can make sure there will be plenty of everything for everyone!
