Assuming it also includes and sub pages with there domain in use as well.
well if that’s the case then its rediculous.
if I have a review about riverbelle, the page is going to say … guess what?
review of riverbelle casino.
this surely cannot be the case as if it is its the stupidest thing in the world.
To what do I name that review page? … generic review #10?

They’ve made this a no-brainer as no-one in their right mind will be promoting them anymore anyway The “first-deposit” thing is the real killer for me. They have been my biggest earners for some time but I’m sticking to my principles.
VPL, Fortune… and now Referback… RIP.
Bring It On

August 1, 2005 at 8:45 pm #669780AnonymousInactiveHowever, worth noting that neither of the quotes above are really what you’d term “retroactive
Yes, I have been looking at that and so far it looks they have been very smart that way.
They have just become very unprofitable to me for several reasons. But I see nothing illegal so far.

Exactly. They are bad terms and I have already removed Referback properties from Oggs. However, to me they are acceptable in so much as they did not deceive and have effectively given us a “choice”, albeit an obvious one, unlike VPL and Fortune.
That said, couple this with their recent-ish change regarding having to send one player to qualify for the 25% and that may step into retroactive territory, but i wasn’t around when that was originally introduced so I’m only going on wat I have been lead to believe.
August 1, 2005 at 9:08 pm #669782AnonymousInactiveSome of these new terms from various firms are no different to me than changing the terms as with player issues.
I am now beating the drum again of rogue. Why?
Banner removal won’t work because if EVERY casino follows suit, they know they have you covered if you have a casino based portal etc.
Think of something and quick.. Anyone.
A germ.. Every aff over the thousands of sites put up a rogue warning list on the front page, is a better idea than just removing banners and sticking up the next casino to pick your pockets.
If anyone has a germ of an idea better than just remove banners, it is just about speak up in public time I think.
August 1, 2005 at 9:23 pm #669783AnonymousInactiveSure. I am going to redo my webmaster page within a moth or so. It ranks quite well on Google. I will do reviews of the programs this time, and I will point out flaws in the T&Cs.
This paragraph just really bugs me:
‘Active Casino Customer’: A New Casino Player who after purchasing and playing for the first time at a Merchant Casino returns to make a second successful purchase at the same Merchant Casino
With some smart xmarketing, they could avoid paying us for some time. Nice whales could be induced to play a month here and a month there….never becoming a real player.
August 1, 2005 at 9:30 pm #669784AnonymousInactivequick someone, give me 3 casino and 3 poker sites that are actually worth promoting!
August 1, 2005 at 9:34 pm #669785AnonymousInactiveYou are NO LONGER PAID ON INITIAL PURCHASES BY PLAYERS! So if you refer a new player who deposits $500 for thier initial deposit (or $5000) and loses that money and decides they dont like the casino you earn NOTHING from that player!!!!
I can’t see why any affiliate would promote them now with these terms..
quick someone, give me 3 casino and 3 poker sites that are actually worth promoting!
try Vegas Affiliates..

I have removed all of the offending properties from my sites, but that isn’t enough. This week I will be working on my first-ever BLACKLIST, and a link to it will be featured prominently on the front page of my site. :shooter:Many people like “dirt” — it’s just the way they are — and I think everyone’s site could benefit by having a page that spills the beans on these greedy aff programs. A portal that only paints a rosy picture — one that never says a single negative thing — isn’t as credible, in my opinion. Show the good and the bad, and I think your audience will be more likely to trust you and follow your links to places you do recommend.
So yes, this week I will be putting together something to warn people to stay away from all Referback, Fortune Lounge, Vegas Partner, Partner Logic, and Wager Junction properties. I think this is a really good idea, and I urge everyone else to do the same if you can.

Ummmmmmm…………….August 1, 2005 at 9:49 pm #669788AnonymousInactiveI’m as pissed of with RB as anyone but these terms just went up today, at least give them a chance to reply to any concerns.
My personal oppinion is that the big guys don’t want affiliates anymore and are pushing us out slowly, so nothing we say will have an effect – but at least let them say their bit before slamming them publicly.

Wagerproifts is a good group to promote.. They have a poker room too.. Honest program..
August 1, 2005 at 10:16 pm #669791AnonymousInactiveWell, this one is a breach of contract unless they make it henceforthwith only:
If a Customer is deemed by the Merchant to have lapsed, an Affiliate shall no longer be entitled to earn Commission of any nature on such Lapsed Customer. For the purposes hereof, a Customer shall be deemed to be a ‘Lapsed Player’ if he/ she has neither purchased nor played at a Merchant Casino or Merchant Poker Room for a consecutive period of 6 (six) months.
Unless they specify that this only applies to customers aquired afer a certain date, it’s breach of contract.
August 1, 2005 at 10:20 pm #669792AnonymousInactiveThe part about them becoming part of the selling of your business amounts to a whack in the knees. Basically, this gives them the authority to stop paying on any active players once you transfer ownership of your site to someone else. I find it difficult to believe they have any real process of approving a new buyer. Even if they do, who would want to be subjected to opening up their bank account to just one of the affiliate programs.
I think Croupier is right, this smells like a concerted plan to rid themselves of their affiliate marketing program altogether.
